I am looking for a woman therapist for my 17 year old daughter. someone familiar with the issuses relative to a teen girl.
Thank you to everyone who has responded.As I waited for a reply I decided to look at previous questions and I came across a recomendation for a therapist in Farm.Hills. I called her, liked what she had to say, and my daughter actually went to see her Tuesday. So far, so good... I think we are lucky to have found someone my daughter feels comfortable with and also feels welcome in her office. She has this great view (through a doorwall) of a large pond with ducks,and greenery all around very tranquil.

Dr. Kathy Pietrofesa. She is in Bloomfield Hills, right at Woodward and Long Lake. The name of the practice is called Affiliated Psychologists. Her husband John is the head of the Psychology Department at Wayne state university and she use to be a school counselor for Troy Athens High School.
