The Power of Mama's

Rock on! I like this site because 1- sometimes my friends are sick of hearing the same old stuff from me. It's great to get an outside opinion. 2- there are SO many different backgrounds and lifestyles on here, so I feel like with every question posted, someone comes up with something that I never would have come up with in a million years. I used to get a bit defensive when I was hearing things that were 'outside my box' but I realized that not every piece of advise is for everyone. Now I can appreciate and respect other peoples point of views and the diversity of it all. And yeah, we're all pretty much awesome ;)

I agree with Rachel--instead of going on and on to our usual friends, we can ask, vent, wonder and rejoice with other Mamapedia Moms!

Sometimes someone else might have a new way of looking at our situation and that is a GOOD THING!

I agree. There is nothing quite so wonderful as helping someone in any little way. That is what helps me! When I pass someone on the street with a big frown I smile at them.......if I'm lucky enough to get them to smile back then my day is made!

Being a Mom is the most important job in the world. The weight of it is exhausting. When my kids were young my husband traveled for business and often I felt that weight. If I can lighten that feeling just a bit for someone it really helps ME to feel good. When Mom's reach out to help each other it is a pretty wonderful thing.
