The Letter Never Sent

I do this fairly often, and was wondering about other mommas.

I find it incredibly therapeutic to come on this site, write out a nice long rant about whatever situation is annoying me at the moment as if I was going to post it... then erase it.

IF writing it out doesn't make me feel a bit better, or get me started resolving my feelings, then I will post it hoping for some good advice. :)

Am I the only one who does this?

What can I do next?

It's a time-honored way of working out one's feelings. I've read often of people (even famous ones) who have done this.

Good for you for thinking before you post!

I do it more so with a response to a post. Then I read again what I've written and... D E L E T E

All the time! :)

I vent out all my anger by starting to type out a question. Then, I'd leave the page and pace around my kitchen talking to the stove and sink. Then I'd come back and try to edit the question.
Finally after re-reading and checking, I'll hit the cancel or close the page.

So so so therapeutic!

I do this all the time. ALL THE TIME. Writing out your feelings is a fabulous way to give them a voice and work them out.

I do it with my responses to peoples questions about certain topics.

I write what i would say with out filters, then i delete and sometimes go back with my good manners and try again.

a bit off topic but i'm surprised how much this site has helped me to solidify my views on certain topics. when I'm with friends i might not lay out my whole breast feeding is best speil, because i know their past history and i know how completely set in their ways they can be about somethings, so while talking to them i try to walk a middle ground, but when a soon to be mom comes on here and asks seeking info on which way to go, i get to lay it all out. I love that.
she may or may not take my advice but at least i got to have a voice.

I've done it before, but no on this site. I have written letters to people to vent, and then torn them up. It just feels good to get it out!

I don't do it on here. I do however journal daily, multiple times a day if necessary. I can definitely see why it's therapeutic.

Lol. I do this ALL the time! I'll start writing and then come up with my own answer while I'm writing. Or, I'll start and then think, "Ok, so and so is going have all these questions" and I won't feel like writing out the details or answering follow up questions so I just don't finish it.

No, I never do this, on here or in "real life". Maybe I should, sounds like it helps. =)
