My daughter who is 4 says she is dripping.... Sounds like to me that she hads the sensation of still having to pee, so I took her to the dr to rule out UTI and they said she had pin worm, she was treated for that but still has the feeling of dripping. Her underwears are not wet and she is not going to the bathroom constantly, so I have no idea what the issue is. Any thoughts?

What can I do next?

My son had a similar problem. Always feeling like he had to go pee but didn't. We also ruled out UTI. Took him to a Urologist at Nemours. With ultrasound they found that he was really, really constipated. The doctor said when the bowel is full like that it presses on the bladder making it spasm and feel like he has to go pee. We never would have suspected constipation because he was pooping regularly just not enough. He prescribed the laxative Miralax (available over the counter). We started using it, he started pooping and the problem went away. Might be worth a try.

Pin worm makes the bottom itch due to migration. Perhaps that is what she was feeling.

Hello there,

The same thing happened to my 5 year daughter, she is still complaining, so I did some research and found out that Pin worm has to be treated several times to be completly rid of it.

I treated her again and the symtoms of the "wet" feeling have almost disappeared.

I hope this helps.

WEll, did they get rid of the pin worm? Sounds like it still might be there. Or she might be feeling phantom urges since she was experiencing them before. Try not to "ask" her about it and maybe she will forget, especially if that sensation has disappeared. If you continue to ask how she's feeling she will probably still think she feels it, know what I mean?

You should have her rechecked for the pin worm.

Unless the WHOLE family was treated for pin worms, she has probably gotten reinfected with them. They are so very contagious and so very easily spread that the entire family needs to be treated in order to get rid of them entirely. I would take her back to the doctor and ask for medication for everyone. Good luck!
