My mom, kids and I would like to serve on Thanksgiving day to the homeless. I live in Mansfield. Does anyone know of any homeless shelters in the Mansfield/Arlington area to help out at? Thanks for any help or input!

Lake Arlington Baptist CHurch will be preparing meals for Mission Arlington on Wed 11/25. Please call the office at ###-###-#### x21 to get all the details of time. I know they are meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30am on Wed.

I know they would love your help!

I am not sure of one in particular but you might want to contact Mission Arlington and they would be a great resource to find this information or First United Methodist Church in Mansfield. I think it is so vitally important for you to raise your kids to serve instead of always get. I volunteer monthly in downtown Fort Worth and it is so very rewarding. God Bless you and keep up the great work mom! :)

I live in Arlington and know of 2 homeless shelters. One is Arlington Life Shelter and the other is Salvation Army Family Life Center. Not sure if they need people to help serve or not. Let me know if you need the numbers.

Arlington Night Shelter or Mission Arlington could probably use the help.

You could call Mission Arlington and if they're not serving a dinner, they could point you in the right direction to find out where you could be of service. They have a website, www.missionarlington.org or you can find them in the phone book.

HI, H.. We help at Mission Arlington. You do not "serve" in a soup kitchen; however, they need families to go out and deliver an entire Thanksgiving meal. You can just show up on Thanksgiving day at 7:00a.m. It is very, very busy but organized. We started helping two years ago, we really wanted to "serve" in a kitchen but found out this too is a ministry. My son was 17 when we started and still looks forward to passing out meals to families in our area.
Have a great Thanksgiving and hope you will be able to make it to mission arlington!
