Does anyone have a favorite type of Tfal cookware? My husband is adamant about using only Tfal and I want some recommendations as to which line to purchase.
I am not familiar with Tfal.
I am however VERY happy with my high end All Clad Stainless. It is pricey but worth it. Small saucepan runs about $120. I love it. You can find deals on it if you look. Sometimes Dept stores have special deals on a 10 piece set, etc.
I do also use cast iron and love that as well.
I bought a really expensive set of T Fal a few years ago. It's junk now. The Teflon coating all came off. I got a really nice set of Aluminum clad Farberware for Christmas and it's awesome! If you're the one doing the cooking, what's the difference to him?
I know this won't technically answer your question but....
Honestly, I love my Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick set. I grew up in house that had all mismatched hand-me down stuff and while it got the job done, I longed for a complete set of "something nice". This fit the bill and let me tell you, the lifetime warranty really is real! I have had one or two pieces I have had to exchange due to the non-stick coming off from general wear and tear (they were my "work-horse" pieces like the skillet) and Calphalon has never given me any trouble. I have had the set for 7 years now.
If you really want to buy TFal, buy the best set that you can afford. They don't last forever, but work well for their useful life.
