My son is almost 9 months old. His 2 bottom teeth came in with no problem. Now he is cutting his upper teeth and he is miserable. Nothing I do seems to help. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

The only thing I have found is Hylands Teething Tablets. They are homeopathic and so so safe! My gilrs love them and you can never give too much. They also have Colic Tablets and Ear infection Drops! I used the drops on my six month old (instead of anibiotics) and it cleared up in one dose. Its a little pricey, but I think it is worth it. The box the come in is baby blue with pink and white lettering I believe. Good Luck!

For me thebest remedy for teething was something cold to chew on. You can give your baby a plastic teething ring which is filled with water that you have chilled in the refrigerator, but if your baby is like mine was, he won’t want to have anything to do with that funny looking thing that is cold to hold. Another choice is ice pops. You can get sugar free ice pops if you are worried about your baby’s sugar intake and you can hold the pop for him while he happily chews away, I also let him have frozen waffles, they get soggy as he would chew on it so it wasn't a choking hazzard. This will give relief for a short time. Something hard to gnaw on can also give relief from the counter pressure, make sure baby has plenty of chew toys.

Hi C., I feel your pain. I have a 8 month old girl who has her 2 bottom and now is cutting her top teeth. She is my 3rd child. So I can tell you what I do with her and what I did w/ her brothers. I give her ibuprofen ,then 2 hrs later I can give her tylenol .I use baby orajel and sometime ice cold water in a sippy cup. Once the top 2 come in you should be go to go on all the other teeth.Sometime my baby will not take a bottle so I give her a sippy cup of her formula. I hope this helps. If any question feel free to email me. Dottie

It's hard to watch a child in any discomfort. My 3 boys had runny nose, irritable days and nights. The only relief I found was that worked for them was sometimes a bath or play in the water 2 times a day, motrin, tylenol rotate like for ear infections, ice in cheese cloth to suck on and teething rings. I suggest try something from everyone that you are comfortable with and see what is successful for you and your son everyone is different on what works for them. I did find that giving motrin before bed made bed time easier for my boys to sleep I just felt it was my job to get them comfortable so they could sleep. It doesn't last long, my prayers are with you, best of luck.

I used the teething tablets and then would use frozen green beans. A big enough one that i could pull it out real easy and would just let her chew on it until it thawed. Also i would put her teething rings in the fridge or freezer. That seemed to help her. Good Luck!!

Hello,
I used the teething tablets when my daughter was teething. I got them from Walmart. Also a pharmacist told me to give baby tylenol or baby ibuprofen. Or to alternate between both meds.

Wet a soft, clean washclothe and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Let him chew on it the cold numbs and the clothe won't hurt his gums.
