Motrin will control the pain and fever much better then tylenol. I find with my son a dose every 4-6 hours is what keeps him out of the nasty pain of teething and allows for some sleep.
good luck!
My 14 1/2 yr old DD is starting to teeth heavily. Right now she only has 2 teeth and has since she was about 11 months. Now we are working on day 2 of fevers and running nose and discomfort that we are attributing to teething. What more can we do than push the tylenol to help keep the fevers down, wiping the nose to keep it clean and cold things for her to chew on. The days are much easier than the nights.....the last 2 nights she has been really restless and not sleeping much. Could this be more than just her teeth?
Thank you all for the helpful hints. She has seemed to perk up today after taking a very restful nap. The nose isn't running as hard and I haven't had to give tylenol at all today. I am not sure what she is doing yet, but we will keep this in mind when she does start popping the teeth out. Thanks for all the support.
*****We have discovered the reason that we couldn't find the teeth. She actually got a molar before her front teeth (which is where we were checking).

I don't know about the fever being teeth related. Our ped told us that ear infections and fever are probably from something the baby put in their mouth trying to feel Teething at night is a pain! My son has cut every tooth in the middle of the night, prompting hours of screaming. We give him Tylenol and use Hyland's teething tablets. They are homeopathic and have worked better than any other drops I have tried on my kids. The only place I have been able to find them is King Soopers in the baby aisle.
If she still has a fever tomorrow, get her seen. Sounds like it's more likely an ear infection. I hope tonight is better.
You need to take her to the doctor. My daughter right around 11-14 months was teething but it was her back teeth and they caused her to have ear infections. The teething should not make her have a constant fever if it has been two days straight. Take her in....I bet she has developed an ear infection and my doctor said it was normal for some babies to develop them with teething. The only ear infections my daughter had was from when she was teething.
Good Luck!

FYI: motrin is fine but it can be a little rough on their tummies. Still take her in and get checked.
My son teethed hard, was very uncomfortable yet my daughter I never even knew until a tooth popped out, so every child is different.
Motrin was the only thing or teething tablets. Tylenol did nothing for teething pain!
Try motrin AND/OR a dose of teething tablets (they are natural) before bedtime about 30 minutes apart from each other. My son would be crying then I would give him a teething tablet and in a matter of minutes he was calm and fine and all happy.
Teething hurts especially at night as they teeth move during sleep periods.
If you are concerned, take her in to the Dr to confirm that is all it is. If the fever is over 100 I agree it may be a ear infection. My son ran very low grade fevers with teething hard but if it was over 100 you need to take her in.
During the day put a wash rag in the freezer and let it freeze and give it to him and chew on or popsicles, my son used to go to town on those in his highchair! :)
Good luck.
