Teething babies generate a lot of saliva, and so, these acids are swallowed in greater amounts, which can contribute to a lot of runny stools. Doctors often say that there is no correlation between teething and more stool, but after many years of working with a large number of babies, I can tell you it's extremely common. As long as the child is still urinating (wet diapers, not just poopy ones), things should be fine. Keep the child hydrated with breast milk/formula, and relax. If the diapers have *only waste* and no urine, then it's time to see the doctor, so that they can check for dehydration.

Not much info here, but based on this skeleton description of yours, I'd say it's normal. Teething creates tons of saliva - some kids are just covered in drool, but if this baby is swallowing it, it can absolutely wreak havoc with the bowels. Sounds like you don't trust the mother's assertions that everything is fine - is that correct? Is this someone in your family or a friend whose judgment you don't trust? Has the baby recently been put on solid foods for at least part of the diet?

If the baby is eating/drinking normally and producing wet diapers, and if the energy/attention/sleep levels seem standard, I'd say it's fine. The tooth will come through, the drool/saliva will slow down, and everything will go back to normal. At least until the next tooth!

Sounds completely normal. Doctors may tell you that it's not. (Just like they say teething doesn't cause a fever.) It's one of those situations where moms truly know best!

Sounds normal to me. As long as the baby is happy and eating and otherwise seems fine then all is good. If the baby is really struggling then it might be more concerning.
