NO chicken bone. A kid can choke on that and any splintered off bone chips that they knaw off. VERY dangerous.

Freeze a dampened wash cloth. Give it to him. My kids liked that.

Watch out, that he does not choke on any hard foods you give him. Hard foods.... are choking hazards.

There are also toddler biscuits.. like toast.

What about a cut up popsicle? They are somewhat firm yet cold and will numb the teething temporarily.

Frozen waffles are also good. My kids really like to teeth on corn on the cob. They can gnaw away and still get some nutrients out of it! I usually cut the whole cob in half. I also agree with frozen washcloth!

I would not give a chicken bone to a toddler or any other small child for that matter. My daughter loved cold wsh clothes to suck on. I kept a wet one in a plastic sandwich bag in the fridge or freezer.

My kids LOVED frozen bananas in the "safe teether" mesh thing they sell at babiesrus. I would chop up one inch size bananas and then put into a ziplock bag and freeze, you just insert one of the pieces into the mesh bag and they can naw on it. They also loved watermelon and then nawing on the rind seemed to helped their teething pain. Hylands makes a great homeopathic teething tablets and gel for pain. Frozen bagels and frozen waffles are great too.

PLEASE don't give your child a chicken bone. They fracture and splinter easily and he can choke on it or cut his mouth. You're not even supposed to give chicken/turkey bones to dogs!!

I have done the wash cloth and they also have a thing at Babies R Us that is made of mesh-- you can put frozen fruit or some other cold food in there that they can suck on.

My daughter also liked the teething biscuits.
