Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if they experienced their baby having different sleep patterns when they were teething? My son is 5 months old and he has already got his two bottom teeth and now I believe his top two teeth are trying to come in too. I notice that since all of this has started he fights us when it's bedtime and he wakes up super early in the morning now, like around 5 or 530am. He used to sleep until almost 7a. I have not changed his nightly routine so we still give him his bath and get him settled at the same time everynight. I am just wondering if anyone else experienced this with their teething baby. It's the only thing that is going on with him right now that bothers him. Thank you! J.

Yep! Sounds normal for teething. It's not fun, but is also not something to be alarmed about. Hopefully it will pass soon. In the meantime, don't worry. Best wishes for you and your little guy!

Yes, it can disrupt sleep. Some kids are sensitive to teething and some are not. My kids are and every time they teeth, they are grumpy and they don't sleep as much. Even now at age 7 and 5, they get headaches and get irritable. Motrin does the trick.

Yes, teething can change everything. Every baby is different, of course. But with my 6 month old, she didn't sleep well, she didn't want to eat table food. All my children are now early risers because the sun is up so early. We put black out shades in all the rooms and that has helped, but you may just have to sweat it out till the sun starts coming up a little later. Good luck.

My daughter is also 5 months and recently cut her two bottom teeth. She has never really been on a routine as far as sleep is concerned, but I have definately noticed changes. She fights really hard when she is tired. She cries and cries and makes her body extrememly rigid.
