Have you tried giving her Motrin at night? I know it works for my son. He's 9 1/2 mths now and has 6 teeth with 2 more coming in. Each night (well, mostly every night) I give him Motrin to ease the pain. My pediatrician recommends it. Good luck!

my baby had 8 teeth by six months in age. It was frustrating until my doctor gave him ibuprofen to help with the swelling. He is turning a year old on friday and two molars are cutting through his gums. We are back with the ibuprofen for swelling.

Hello! My husband is the same way...it's is very rare that he hears my daughter if she wakes up in the middle of the night. Luckily it hasn't happened in a long time, BUT if she was waking up several time, I would ask my husband for help for sure! Just say you need help, he should understand. Mommy's hear everything..it's true!! I'm sorry your daughter is waking up, but if it is her tooth coming in, give her some tylenol and maybe that will help her sleep. She is probably waking up because her poor little gums hurt! If it seems like she's starting a pattern, wait a little bit before going in and maybe she will put herself back to sleep....she may be getting use to you going in and just wants you. Good luck with everything!

Hey C.- i agree with the tylenol b4 bed, it helps. Also i believe that soothing your daughter overall will help with the waking up b/c the teeth..Like give her a warm bath with the Johnson's lavender sleepytime soap and then put the same lotion on and give her a little massage... then 30 minutes b4 bed give her tylenol, cuddle her, and hopefully all that together will at least help a little! As far as husbands go, mine wakes up with my son most of the time b/c i work 4p-12a, then do work in the house til about 130a-2a- and have to be up by 645a to take him to work.. You didnt make ur daughter alone and shouldnt be the only to wake up... i would tap or nudge my husband and let him know that the baby was crying. If u are stressed and exhausted your little girl is going to feel that- Mom's need sleep too!! Good luck and please dont feel guilty when he wakes up with her b/c i have a bad habit of feeling that way too but we shouldnt b/c we do enough!! Its 50/50! Good luck hun

My Littlest one is teehting right now too and it's horrible! I make sure I give her baby orijel and a dose of tylenol about 30 mins before bed. She seems to do well with that.
I have such a hard time falling asleep and even when I do I'm listening for babies because my husband is a heavey sleeper. So even when I sleep I don't really sleep. I don't know what to do about it because I have to wake up with them so it's not like I can use a sleeping aid or anything. My sister-in-law is a holistic (i hope I spelt that right) health counselor and she says there are natural supplements you can add to your diet to help with sleeping. I'll ask her what their names are if you are interested.
