Ugh... Yes! My daughter went on like that from about six months and didn't get a single tooth until she was 10 months! Is he drooling a lot and chewing on his fists, etc? If not, I would worry that it might be something else...
my seven month old has been suffering for hours in the evening for over two months with his teeth, and none have even showed up, is this normal?

Yes, this is normal. Does he have lots of drooling? Loose stools? This is also a sign of teething.
Freeze a couple of wet baby wash cloths and let your child chew on them. They will give hims some relief as well as Tylenol or Motrin.
How do you know that it's his teeth if they have not come in yet? It could be, but it could be something else too. I would check with your doctor. Does he get any relief from Tylenol or Motrin? If not, it might be something else.

Very normal. You can give motrin to alleviate the discomfort (its an anti-inflamatory)
Yes, it can be normal. My son would "teeth" for about 6 weeks, then stop all the sudden and be happy again (no teeth) then start up again a while later and then the teeth would come. I agree with the leather belt to chew on, only for my son it was a leather coaster that he loved to chomp down on. I think almost anything can be considered "normal" for teething. Good luck!
no talk to his ped he may need his gums cut
try using teething tablets, not only to they help with the swelling and the discomfort the soften the gums and make it easier for the teeth to come through
yes give him a leather belt what i used on my oldest one. take the buckle off though. My youngest teethed on a dow rod but it has to be a thick short one. It was actually daddys key chain. but storm stole it. we just gave it to him. it was about 2 inches thick and 4 inches long keys work too. but becareful if he picks up keys I tried to keep mine away from the keys but they kept grabbing them. I would take them away and give them something else I just didnt like the key idea. don't know why
It may be normal. Sometimes the gums get so swollen, they cover up the new teeth. Also, night time fussiness can be caused by an ear infection or refulx which both can be aggravated when the baby lies down. Check with your child's doctor to make sure something besides teething isn't going on.
Are you sure it is teething. My daughter would have terrible pain from ear infections when she would lay down. Make sure it isn't ears or reflux they are always worse at night.
