I resorted to Motrin for teething pain. The Tylenol just didn't cut it...pardon the pun!
My 12 month old is cutting 4 molars and at least 2 eye teeth maybe all 4. She has not been sleeping and has been VERY fussy I have tried Tylenol and Origel even though I hate it. All she wants to do is nurse ALL day and night. Before she started cutting these teeth she was down to 1 nursing (usually during the night). I don't mind nursing her but I am starting to go a bit crazy here.
Please tell me that I am not alone! She is my 3rd and the 2 older girls were a piece of cake when it came to teething.
Any other suggestions on things to try and help manage the pain?
Thanks, K.

I, like you, hated giving my kids "drugs". I wound try anything and everything first. Finally I broke down and did the same, tylenol and origel, but they didn't work. So I tried Motron...and my kid slept through the night every time I gave it to him!! Also, I would make sure your child hasn't developed an ear infection (they can come with cutting that many teeth).
I find that Motrin works better than Tylenol for the pain.
Try giving her an all fruit popsicle. The cold will help numb her mouth and relieve some of the pain. I also found that trying to keep my kids really busy helps...they tend to focus on the pain more when they are bored.
I have used Hyland's teething tables with my two kids. They really liked them and it did seems to calm them down. You can administer 2 of them when you just have don't know what more to do. You can have up to 22 per day.
They are teeny little white tablets that disolve as soon as they touch the tongue.
You can get them at most drug stores or Meijer.
Good Luck.
