What are some signs of teething? My son is only 4 months, but it starting to drool A LOT and sucking on his hands a lot. He also seems to be in pain when he takes his bottle sometimes. He does have acid reflux, but it was under control and now he pulls away from the bottle pretty often while he is trying to eat. He will pull away and fuss, but come right back for more. Could this be pain from teething??

What can I do next?

Sure sounds like it! Some babies teethe alot earlier than others. My mom was actually born with teeth! yikes! You might want to get some Hyland's Teething Gel from Whole Foods and freeze some teethers for him to gnaw on. :)

Good luck!

J.B. you may want to check for an ear infection. My 14 month year (one of them!) has terrible reflux and had a pretty bad ear infection last March. With the ear infection it hurt to suck so he kept pulling away from the bottle. The signs look like teething though! :) The company I am partnered with sells a natural teething ointment so let me know if your interested. Otherwise the teething rings in the fridge seem to help also.

Good luck. :)

Hi. I have almost an 8 month old and probably 2-3 months ago we went through a phase for 2 weeks where he hardly wanted to drink the bottle. He would roll over and grunt that he didn't want it. I spoke to the pediatrician about it b/c I was nervous he wasn't getting enough food. She said it is probably from teething. The sucking on the bottle makes the gums sore. After a couple weeks he was okay and we haven't had the problem again. He got his first tooth 2 weeks ago and another one a few days ago.

It can be a long process before a tooth comes through. Hang in there.

Yup! I also have a four month old and he does the same thing. The second something is near his mouth he gnaws on it. Just give him plenty of things to chew on for the counter pressure. Also know it could still be a few more weeks/months before the tooth actually shows up!
