What is the best (and most economic) teeth whitening system to use at home? What works for you, and how quickly?

Thanks

I have used the Crest Whitestrips at home a few times. I believe that I used the premium ones. They work really good and I have gotten compliments on my white teeth several times. I am not sure how much your teeth need whitening. Mine were not that bad before using, they just needed an extra boost. My husband has used them and had success as well. His teeth needed the whitening more than mine.

I did speak with my dental hygentist about over the counter products before trying and that's what she recommended. This was a few years ago though so I am not sure how good other products are.

I have a slight problem using the products for whitening though because I have a sensitivity to the chemicals used in them. I even have problems with toothpastes. I can only use them once a day for a day or so and have to stop for a few days.

If you decide to use the Crest Whitestrips look out for sales. I have gotten them for 33% off at local drug stores and used a $7 coupon that you can get from coupon section of Sunday paper.

Good Luck!!!

Crest White strips.
Our dentist also suggest for one month use whitening toothpaste when that tube runs out use regular toothpaste, continue to rotate. Make sure all toothpaste you purchase is ADA approved..

Too much whitening can make your teeth extra sensitive.

I used the Walmart brand whitening strips (like Crest whitestrips but half the price) and they worked wonderfully. Used them 2x a day for 7 days. My teeth were fairly white to begin with, but I just felt they needed brightening. So the package came with strips for 14 days and I just saved it to use at a later date.

GoSmile is awesome! It is a lot more expensive than what other posters have mentioned - it's $98 for a weeks supply. But you use it twice a day for a week and it whitens 7 shades. I use it maybe once a year. You can buy "touch ups" if you want something for in between, but I never needed them. I did this for my wedding 3 years ago and had many comments about how white my teeth were. (that's not something most people notice/comment on so that is what let me know it really worked well!)

So, I'm a huge fan of this one. I just don't think the grocery store bought brands work all that well or last for very long. If you can afford the $98 it's well worth it. I bought it from Sephora.

My husband is a Dentist & always recommends Crest Whitening strips to use at home for his patients. You will see faster results with tray bleaching, done by a professional, but that can run $250+ for upper & lower. Don't uae the people in the mall; they aren't licensed Dental professionals!
