Are the marks bothering you or her?

Please don't make this an issue where you destroy her self esteem.

There's many more things to worry about instead of a stretch mark. Gees

the only thing to 'do' about them is to not make them a big deal. if you're all 'help! i need to fix this!' your daughter will be self-conscious and also think they're a big deal.
teenagers should be encouraged to moisturize anyway. beyond that, don't flap and squawk about it at all.

Stretch marks are caused by rapid growth. Many teens get them. I got stretch h marks on my hips as a teen. There are some products that claim to take away stretch marks but the don't work. There's nothing to be done. Just accept them as proof she's grown.

You don't do anything. Or say anything. They'll fade on their own over time. There is no miracle cream that can cure or prevent stretch marks.

My 9 year old has them and has had them for a couple of years. They are around the tops of her hip bones. They are not bad, but I know they are there and know what they are. I feel they are the least of my worries.

Keeping her skin moisturized will help with any itching. The marks will fade as time goes by but there isn't anything you can do at home to make them disappear. The best thing to do is not call attention to them and treat is as not a big deal, which it isn't.

I got them as a teen during my growth spurt time. But I never thought it was a big deal. They faded with time. If I look really hard, I can still see traces, but it's certainly not enough to be self conscious about. So, I say don't worry about it.

They'll fade. . PLEASE don't make a big deal out of them. If it's not a thing for her, don't make it a thing. If she is worried about them, ask her pedi about what to expect, or perhaps call a dermatologist for suggestions re lotions if there are any that might help the skin as it changes.

Yeah, I got them around age 15. I grew so much in that year. I'm 5'11 , and most of my growing was around that time. Rapid growth spurts cause stretch marks. My son, who is 11, has them. Cocoa butter helps.

I have heard that Bio Oil can help. Nothing wrong with moisturizing your skin :).
