Hi Ladies,
My son is graduating pre K next week Does anyone have suggestions for teacher gifts? He has 2 teachers male and female and 2 assitant teachers. I am not crafty so that's out.. I don't want to spend a lot of money. I guess my main question is do I buy for all 4 or just the teachers. Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all...I went with giftcards from Starbucks. I noticed pretty much every morning they all had a cup of coffee in their hands. The party was this morning and my son enjoyed giving them their cards. Thanks again!!!!!!!

You could bake brownies or cookies for them. Or, I agree with the others, a gift card is also nice. Dunkin Donuts, Walmart, or Staples are all good for teachers. And definitely buy for all 4....the assistants have worked just as hard as the teacher and it would feel as if you do not appreciate it if you exclude them. Hope this helps

I don't teach preschool but I will say we have two teachers and one assistant in my room. Often my parents buy for all three of us or none of us. I don't know what you want/don't want to spend but even a five dollar gift card to Starbucks would be enjoyable to them. For many of us Starbucks is a treat and not just a 'way of morning routine'. If they don't drink coffee they have such good breads and foods and teas. I can tell you that as teachers, we appreciate anything you do. It makes us feel noticed and appreciated. Even just a note at the end of the school year that says thanks is awesome for me.

Buy for all. My daughter's teacher's assistant seemed to do more work than the teacher!

You could just get a $5 or $10 gift card to Subway, McDonalds, Dunkin D's, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, a bagel shop, even Panera Bread. Something where $5 will get you a meal. That way you aren't spending too much and they are still getting something they will most likely use. Plus it will help them over the next week or so while they are tying up lose ends at school.

Good luck and enjoy your Summer!

You would have to buy for all. I am a gift card queen. I give gift cards with notes it is somewhat personal, but not loading them down with "stuff" that they aren't going to use or don't want. I usually spend about $10, more if only one teacher. Starbucks or Central Market are my go-to locations, but I also have done bath & body stores for the females. Suprisingly, $10 goes quite far for a nice little splurge at the end of the year.

you would have to buy for all...
what about this..

Go to Walmart, dollarstore, etc... buy 2 tea light holders and some cheap tea lights... go buy a packet ($1.00) packet of coffee or the little instant coffee travel packets... maybe some creamer (travel) packets... and put a note that mentions how you appreciate all the hard work they have done and now its time to relax... :)

My son's teacher likes candles. You can get some small votif or tea-light candles (vanilla scent or no scent) and little candle holders and can put together something cute for very little money. Michael's or what ever craft shops you have in your area should have everything you need and you can have something for them all for probably well under $20 (including cards).

I just bought $15 gift cards to Papa Johns Pizza. I found them at Rite Aid Pharmacy. The teachers LOVED them!

I would think you should buy for all four...they've all played a role in your son's experience there. I agree with the gift card idea and if you don't want to spend a lot of money...how about this: Drop a little note to the mom's of the other teachers and see if they would like to contribute $$ and buy one gift card for each teacher. I did it last X-mas and was able to give each teacher a $50 visa card by simply collecting $5 per child per teacher. In your case, everyone's out of pocket would only be $20, then have the kids all sign a homeade card...good luck and congrats on the grad.

Gift cards. Teacher do not want more "stuff" but a little treat they can choose themselves is always great.

Maybe find a local bakery, coffee shop.. close to the school, so they can treat themselves on the way to school a couple of times..
