On the invite say all team members will be paid for. Im sure the parents wont mind paying for themselves. I think all that would be expected is for the kids to be paid for at most!
My dad sponsored my son's tball team. We would like to take the team out for pizza after the last game. We were thinking of CiCi's but only want to pay for each child on the team and one parent(it's a buffet.) Is it stupid to give an invite stating a child an one parent will be paid for? Or should we just go somewhere that everyone can have pizza and pop? What is expected? I am clueless so any help will be appreciated!

Have it at someone's house and order pizzas and 2 liters. Let everyone have as much as they want and let it be a fun time for the entire family.
Or, ask every family to contribute $10 or $20 and have a sit down at a restaurant with pizzas and sodas for everyone. If the tab runs over your Dad can make up the rest of the bill and it will still be cheaper than CiCi's for him.
Not a big deal to specify who will be paid for. Our sports teams do that a lot. Usually it states just the kids on the team will be paid for, so I think you are already be even more generous including one adult. Great job being the sponsor family!!
My girlfriend's son had a end of bowling party, and specifically stipulated that they would happily pay for the participating child and only one adult, but that if the family would like to attend (or more than one adult) that they would have to pay for the additional guests themselves. No one seemed to be offended in any way, they were just happy to get a break on the cost of the two original people.
That is so generous of you and your Dad! Don't be afraid to have everyone chip in- talk to the other parents in the group and see how they would handle it. I'd either do something simple for just the kids or if you want the party- have all families contribute $10 and do pizza/pop for everyone. If that is too much then come up with a good dollar amount.
