Tattoo Removal Cream

I personally have some and nothing to my knowledge will remove them unless you go and have them laser removed. And even that takes several sessions and from what I hear is extremely painful.

From personal expierience the laser is one of the most painful things I have ever had done. Imagine your worst time at the dentist and times it by 100!!! Also, you can smell your hair burning when they get the peach fuzz. I had it done on my upper back/shoulder area and would rather leave the tattoo and just cover it with clothes or make-up. I did 4 sessions and it is not all the way gone.

My late husband had a tatoo on his hand. He tried for many years to completely remove it. Only laser treatments worked.
He even had some of it tatooed over with flesh colored ink. That did fade the tatoo, but did not cover it.

I believe the laser to be the best choice. No cream will accomplish this. Good luck!!

Never heard of a removal cream that works. What about laser?? They have a program at the court house that is supposed to help with this. Laser is expensive, but I believe it could be funded through this program. Maybe--free. Or is he not really interested in removing it--just covering it? More and more people have tats now days. It is almost becoming the norm. Funny how time changes things.

I haven't used it, but honestly, I would be suspicious of any cream that says it will remove a tattoo. It may help it fade some, but complete removal seems kinda fishy to me.

Think about it, tattoo ink is in the dermis of your skin. The reason tattoos are permanent is because the molecules of the ink are too large for white blood cells to remove. When a laser is used, it blasts the ink molecules into smaller particles each time, allowing for easier removal of the molecules by the white blood cells. Each time you go for a laser treatment, the particles get smaller, which is how with most tattoos, they can eventually be completely removed with the laser. I don't think that there's a cream out there that can rival the effects of laser treatment. So most likely, he'd get some fading from cream, but no where near complete removal.

As to what the other poster said, I have a friend who has had 1 or 2 tattoos removed by laser. He doesn't have a low tolerance to pain, and he has 2 full sleeves, so he's used to tattoo needle. He said the laser pain is much, much worse than getting the tattoo ever was.

I can't imagine any cream would be powerful enough to permanently erase a tattoo. Especially when you consider that the skin isn't very good at absorbing things and, at the level the ink is, I would highly doubt it would even be touched. I would say, save your money for laser treatments. There are no needles with the lasers (as opposed to tattoos) that I'm aware of. It may sting, but it can't be any worse than getting a tatto in the first place.
