I'm bah humbug on all of these made up days, personally, but you should know that if you go to Krispy Kreme in full pirate costume today they'll give you a free dozen doughnuts!
Mamas & Papas-
Today is talk like a pirate day. I plan to have fun with this one. It was also recently cheeseburger day apparently. Which of the lesser known "holidays" are you a fan of?
Best to you and yours,
F. B.

Fun!
I'm celebrating "Clean My Messy House Since Kiddo Is Finally Back At School After That Damn Cold" day today. Not as exciting, but I will probably be letting a few "ARRRGH"s fly!
I have an active 6 year old and refuse to celebrate any extra holidays at this point, esp. as he's already trying to decorate our house for Halloween. We've got a few cobwebs started.... :(
We have fun with pi day - March 14th - 3.14. My kids and I bake or buy a pie. Then we measure the diameter and figure out the circumference and the area of the pie. Nobody gets pie until they do the math.
(Yes, we're geeks.)
Also, May the 4th is HUGE at my house. Star Wars Day. "May the fourth be with you!"
Avast ya scurvy bilge rat!
And a fine day it be for Talk Like a Pirate Day!
If anyone's within distance of Newport News, Va and wants to have some pirate fun this Sat, check this out (it's free!) :

Oh, and we always have a pie on Pi Day (3/14) and I watch Punxatawney Phil online for Groundhog Day!
Always watch Ground Hogs day on Ground Hog's Day!
I have boys, love talk like a pirate day.
Arr, Matey! I be talkin' all piratey today and wearin' me pirate shirt.
I try to talk like a pirate, mateys, but it's really hAAARRRD! ; )
I'm so glad you know this. I have been saying "arrrggghhh" all day! And I tried to talk my bosses into talking like pirates at the meeting this morning, but no go. They thought it sounded fun though, and egged me on all day about it.
Arrrrrr, well wither me timbers.
