Hi moms!
My little guy is almost 2 and has started taking off his diaper every chance he gets - esp during naptime or during the night. We've tried taping them on with packing tape, and he STILL gets them off! Do you have suggestions on what to do? Different clothes, different tape, potty-training?? Thanks!
I have a 22 month old that always takes her diaper off at nap time....So I know what you are going thru. I started putting the diaper on backwards with the tabs in the back and she can't figure out how to take it off then. I have been doing this for a couple of weeks and it has worked.

Well, here would be the full throttle combo..Put his diaper on backwards, duct tape it all the way around, and put a onsie on backwards! The onesie alone may do the trick, esp backwards since he likely wont be able to reach the snaps, but it sounds like he is a bit of a master mind:) I would not think that he is quite ready to potty train, though you could try. I think this is more likely a game that he has figured out. Best of luck..I have yet to have a child do that, but I am pregant with number 5, so anything is possible! ~A.~
My eldest son did this too. I'm not sure about packing tape but I used duct tape and it worked for us. I would strip it to make the width smaller and wrapped it all around. I got ours at Sam's by the bundle! ")
I did try the one piece sleepers with a front zipper but that got too hot since it was summer but you might give it a try. If he acts at all interested in the potty and can stay dry during the night then I would give the potty training a try but NEVER rush this skill, it will back fire on you if they are not willing and ready.

I have heard that once they start taking thier diaper off its time to potty train. But that is better said than done i know it took a while to potty train my boy. I f your not ready to potty train try putting the diaper on backwards at nap time or at night that helped me a bit til he figured that out. Best of wishes and good luck. Let me know how it goes.

A friend recommended I try the Little Keeper Sleeper to solve this problem of taking off their diaper and clothes. I'm glad I did because this sleeper works GREAT. Can he unsnap a onesie? My daughter takes off her pants when I put her to bed (she is almost 19 months), and will sometimes take off her diaper as well. However, if I put her in a onesie, the diaper stays on (for now!).
