Table Top Xmas Tree

For the past two years, I have sent a close family friend a table top xmas tree for xmas. I have never seen the tree, she always says "it's great," but when I read the reviews, there are just so many unhappy people. I usually purchase from LLBean.

If I wasn't pregnant, I would just go buy a little tree and have my little one's help me decorate it and bring it over, but I'm thinking a few clicks on the computer will be best. Does anyone have any recommendations for good places to buy table top xmas trees? I don't want to spend more than $80, if possible.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I'm going to order from Jackson and Perkins this year. I've never had problems with their roses, so hopefully their table top trees will be nice. They are real trees, at least, so they have that going for them.

Do you have any reason to think she'd be snowing you because it was a gift?

We got my grandmother something like this: http://www.target.com/p/2-pre-lit-snow-tip-pine-berry-tre... but without the berries or snow.

She no longer has the room for a big tree, nor does she easily get up into the attic anyway. The pre-lit tree allows her to just put on her favorite ornaments and feel festive with minimal effort.

If you think the tree is no longer going over well, then think of something else. I've done well using http://winecountrygiftbasket.com/ for out of town gift delivery.

It appears the most complaints were from people that had it shipped to the west coast.

This is not a small tree, this essentially a flower arraingement. The branches are cut and placed in foam.. To look like a tree...

And yes, pine needles do fall off of ANY cut tree...

Maybe you could call a local florist or garden center in her town and see if they could deliver an actual small tree in a pot.. Or a freshly made version of this tree.

If she is in Austin, Texas, contact me and maybe I can help you out...

I would check with a florist online like 1-800-flowers.
