Sylvan is an after school program and should be open until about 6 or 7:00 p.m. Each location can have a different price, so you will need to call the location nearest you and ask. I am going to guess that they will not accept an insurance card for payment, but it won't hurt to ask.
Why don't you ask THEM? No one here can tell you what each area's policies or prices are.
our daughter has dyslexia and our neuropsych said to avoid these centers since they do not work for kids with dyslexia. If your child has a diagnosed LD then ask the doctor who diagnosed what approach would be best. If not diagnosed but only suspected, I would have the child tested. You can request it in writing from the principal at the school your child attends.
I doubt that Sylvan would be able to accept a medical card even if they wanted to so because they are not a medical facility. Call the insurance source and ask who they will pay. It's just as much who the insurance will pay as much as who will accept payment.
