Why not try the garage sale, you could even advertise it on Craigslist to be at the garage sale. If it doesn't sell there, do the mom2mom sale.
My aunt is having a garage sale next weekend and I'm going to sell some of my baby stuff. I was going to do a Mom2Mom sale but I think I'm going to hold off now for a little longer. I have a Fisher Price Zen Collection bouncer and swing that I want to sell but I'm not sure which route to go. I want to get as much as possible for them because they weren't cheap. My DD didn't like the bouncer and didn't spend more than 10 minutes total in it in 6 months. What do you think, okay to price high in a garage sale or hold off for Mom2Mom sale? Or...consignment shop?? I might even look into craigslist but I'm not a huge fan of that site. Thanks
Well the garage sale was a success. I ended up posting the swing and bouncer on craigslist and taking it to the garage sale. I got several hits and gave the people the address to the garage sale. They both sold for a little less than I was hoping but I am satisfied. There was a couple that bought the swing, bouncer, and all of my NB-3 month clothes!

I'd do Craigslist too. I also looked for that exact swing a few months ago and was so disappointed I couldn't find one on Craigslist. I would have paid about $80 for a used one, but I had to buy new.
Craigslist. I actually just looked yesterday in our area for a Zen Collection bouncer and swing, with no luck. I am sure you will sell it on there. I have had good luck selling our baby things on there and buying too.
Or wait for the Mom2Mom sale, although I am not sure what that is.
Craigslist has helped us unload a lot of stuff for way more than we would have got at a yard sale. Mom2Mom sales will have a LOT of bouncers and swings, and typically there is a pricing war that will force you to let your stuff go for less than you might get on Craigslist.
If you are concerned about safety, have your husband or male friend meet the person, and/or meet them in a public place (I've sold things in the Target parking lot before!).
I sell things on Craigslist all the time. I love that it's local and convenient. I won't waste my time with garage sales. I have kids to watch, money to keep on hand and too many people coming and going to be safe...plus some people just mess everything up that I spend so much time setting up - they are so rude!
We either sell it on Craigslist or donate things to a local mom & kids closet in our area. Then we still get the tax deduction.
If you want to get a good amount for the bouncer I'd use craigslist.
I would do CL, personally. You probably won't get as much for it if you consign it, and you definitely won't get very much for it if you sell at your garage sale.
I paid about 100 each for my swing and for my bouncer. I sold my bouncer for 30 (was asking 40, but got an offer) and I sold my swing for 40...at my garage sale. I also made 15 on a 40 dollar pack n play, 30 on a carseat that came WITH a stroller for 70 (good sale), but kept the stroller...what else...15 on a high chair that was a gift, 5 on the baby tub, etc...all were clean and in like new condition. I thought I got fair prices for everything, since it was all technically "used."
