I'm not one to avoid or delay vaccines. My son gets vaccinated on time at his well checks. They do serve their purpose and prevent horrible diseases. I usually get the regular flu vaccine, and it does work well for me. However, I'm kind of leery about such a new vaccine. I've heard bad things about the last time they rushed to get a swine flu vaccine back in the 70's, and even though technology has changed, I don't want to be a guinea pig. I'm pregnant, and they are all saying that pregnant women are a top priority. But, I'm not going to get vaccinated. Because I'm pregnant and have another life to think about is the biggest reason I don't want to get it. Maybe in the future when they've figured out all the "kinks", but right now I'm saying no.
