Try your local YMCA or park district?
My daughter will be 4 at the end of May and she used to have swimming class at her pre-school, in which she was able to stay in the pool comfortably and swim for quite some time with a little floating device. Unfortunately her current school does not offer any swimming program, and she misses those time when she could spend time in water with her peers, therefore we are considering enrolling her in some swimming classes. Does anyone have any experience/information with swimming lessons offered for kids on weekends? Thanks a lot.

Indian Boundary YMCA-
They have a FANTASTIC program for little ones. My 6 year old has been going there for 3 years all ready and has made a TON of progress! She went from being afraid of the water to now practicing her breaststroke!
You should check the local high schools for programs or the park districts.
My sister has taken her kids to Richards High School for many years on the weekends.

K. here again, Lifetime has swimming lessons weekdays and weekends and you do not need to be a member. Also, most YMCA's have great programs which you do not have to be a member of to attend classes, as well. We have also heard great things about Lyons township highschool which offers kids swimming lessons. Oakbrook Park District also has a swimming facitily, so you might check there. I hope this helps.
