ok so ill be 33 wks pregnant on monday. this is my 3rd pregnancy but has been very different in many ways. with the first 2 they share the same dad and i was not sexually active with him during prgnancy. this time im married and i am sexually active and im not sure whats normal. both yesterday morning and tonite after having sex i swelled up...today it kinda was stingy when i peed right afterward...could that mean im gettin some type of infection or that i am too sensitive for sex now. i havent felt these symptoms since ive had an allergic reaction to some feminine wipes. my next dr appt isnt til tuesday afternoon

What can I do next?

I agree you may want to mention this to your doctor. I have found my body is using so much of my body's fluid for the pregnancy, I feel dehydrated a lot! Aside from drinking more water, you may want to look into some sort of additional lubrication. Also, encourage your partner that you need a little more in the way of foreplay and perhaps evaluate your positions to make sure you're not putting extra strain on yourself. Also..... you can use a squeeze bottle to give yourself a rinse with warm water after intercourse. It helps.

Cassandra (and the rest!) have great advice. BV (bacterial vaginosis) is also common while being pregnant. Plus, all that blood flow to the genital area (with stimulation) can cause swelling along with the hormones. Maybe avoid the feminie wipes - our bodies are made 'self-cleaning' -just use soap and water for a while.

Being pregnant can make you more prone to yeast infections. I'd call your docotor's office and tell them what is happening. If they think it is necessary then they can call you in for a pee test.

extra blood flow causes swelling after intercourse along with pressure of the baby.It is very common in pregnancy or not pregnant.take a warm bath sit and relax the swelling as you may of noticed goes down all by itself.Ask your dr. at your next appt. also you may request a UA to rule out bacterial infection

Well I have no idea if this is what's happened to you but I had varicose veins on my vulva during my pregnancy - and when it presented it was just like that - except I had gone for a bike ride and then I felt all swelled up and it was the varicose veins. Gross as they were, it did dissipate after pregnancy.
