mom always cut them in half long ways, skin down, put bacon around each, sprinkled with brown sugar and a small dollop of the marshmallow in a jar stuff which melts all gooey all over! Cook for 30-45 min on 350, I think... Talk about YUMMY!!!

Personally, I have gone low fat now, so I simply cut in half, skin side UP and then cook till soft when you poke them, I think it's around 30-45 min. Then cook a little longer. They naturally carmelize and I serve them with a little butter and salt!

My sister slices them thin and bakes them (and salts them) like potato chips.

Blessings,

My recipe is: boil the sweet potatoes. Slice into dish and sprinkle with brown sugar, butter, pineapple chunks and marshmallows. Bake at 350 until heated through - 20 mins? Top with toasted chopped pecans. Happy Thanksgiving!

Traditionally they are super bad for you! Boil them until just fork tender, spread them on a cookie sheet (with sides), slather butter on them (or cut pats through out), sprinkle with brown sugar and top with marshmellows. Bake at 450 until marshmellows are melted and golden brown. A slightly healthy rendition is to saute them with butter (you use less butter), add a handful of brown sugar saute until nicely melted and sugar coats well then bake in oven until tender - with or without marshmellows. An even healthy version is to cook them like smashed/mashed potatoes.

Try this: Peel the sweet potatoes and stem them until you can pierce them with s fork. Then, puree them! Place the puree in a plastic bag and use it as a garnish- over the mashed potatoes, use it to write each child's name on the side of the plate or to make a happy face, and place on top of vanilaa ice cream!
Have fun,
