Hi,
I don't know if this is normal, but my 15 m/o almost always has sweaty feet when he uses shoes. And whenever he doesn't, his feet aren't that sweaty. Could it be the shoes he's wearing? or is this normal on them?
He wears see kai run, and a couple of polo shoes.

Thank you
M.

If the shoes are plastic, this could be a problem.
Are his sox all cotton?
Canvas and leather are more healthy for shoes.

wearing shoes with socks most of the time will take care of that

Make sure he wears socks that are 100% cotton.

Shoes are best if they're real leather (it's breathable - synthetic materials aren't) or if they're strappy sandal-type shoes or have vent holes or some other way of letting air through the shoes.

If you are hot, you sweat. If your feet are hot, they sweat too.

My kids have sweaty feet too when they wear shoes. I don't know if it's normal, it never even accrued to me to question it. It would be nice to find out.

Shoes of man made uppers don't allow the sweat to evaporate/escape. It's common for shoes, today, to be made of man made material which is a form of plastic. Some of it is so well made that it looks like leather but it's not.

I suggest trying out shoes that you know are canvas or leather and see if that helps. Wearing cotton socks or socks of a new material that wicks moisture away from the skin may also help.

Are they getting hot too, or just sweaty? I don't know if this is the same as your son but my feet are strange. They get hot easily and I mean really hot. I can't stand for them to be hot because it feels like they are on fire. For about three seasons of the year I don't wear shoes, only sandels. I do wear shoes in the winter but usually cannot stand to wear warm fluffy winter boots for very long unless I am outside and it is very cold. Also when sleeping at night I have to stick my feet out from under the blankets because they get too hot. When the water in a bath or shower feels just right to the rest of my body it often feels way too hot to my feet. My feet have been like this since I was a child. I don't know what causes it. In the summer I often have to put a cold pack on my feet to get some relief.
