I have been using Goldbond powder in all "creases" and it has helped a lot. I also use a prescription antiperspirant called Drysol--you put it on at night and wash off in the morning. works great.
Okay ladies this is a little embarrassing...I have a sweating problem in my crotch. With summer coming fast, it is very promenant. I hate wearing certain clothes because I look like I've peed in my pants. Does anyone have any kind of solution to stop this problem? I've always been a sweater, I've never glistened and I do get the lovely wet marks under my arms also. Unfortunately that is a yearly problem. The crotch thing is only in the warmer weather months. Any suggestions?????

Hi D., I have had that problem from time to time myself when it's really hot. I would use corn starch powder or now I think they have some female powder out by Summers Eve and that is suppose to be good. You just have to watch not to get it in the vaginal area because that can lead to other issue's. Same thing with under my breasts, alittle powder helps with the wet feeling and makes me feel much better. I hope this helps!!
I have the same problem, but I use Secret solid and put it on after I shower just like I put on my deodorant. It is a terribly embarrasing problem. My OB-GYN told me to do that and I have been doing for years! Good Luck!
You may need to wear cotton undies, use absorbing powder, panty liners & change every hour. I also use wet wipes or feminine cloths to help keep me fresh. Does your thighs rub together? If so you might do some leg excersises to tighten the inner thigh muscle. Good luck & I hope some of this will help.
Have you tried tanning beds? I had a problem with that for a couple of weeks. It was under my bra line and beginning to start in the area where the inside of my legs met the vaginal area. It was quite annoying. I started to tan and noticed that it helped it go away. Hope it helps.
D.~ As far as your armpits go- there is an OTC deoderant called Certain-Dri that is wonderful. I am not someone who sweats a lot but i did when i was pregnant so i went a bought this and it worked great. If you can't find it on the shelf- ask a pharmacist.
Also- i used to work for a dermatologist prior to having my daughter and they can prescribe something medicated for your underarms that isn't over the counter if Certain-Dri doesn't work. Also- he was doing Botox injections (but i think it can be covered under insurance) for sweating. And i don't know what he would recommend for the crotch area but i am sure he would have some suggestions. He is AMAZING- the best in the area, i think, or there is a PA in the office to that is a woman - if you are more comfortable with that- and she is wonderful too. She is who i see when i go in since it would be weird for him to look at me after wofking for him. We saw patients with this issue all the time- the office is called Lee's Summit Dermatology Associate in Lee's Summit- his name is Dr. Gary McEwen and their # is ###-###-#### if you want to try and give them a call
Good Luck!

Hi D.! My teen daughter had a problem with excessive sweating and I found that the natural crystal salts deodorant that you get at the health food store works wonders! You just have to wet it and slick it on - you will need to wait for it to dry, but it leaves no residue to stain clothing or leave white marks. We found it also works better to put it on the night before, and do not use on freshly shaved skin, so if you do your bikini line, wait an hour or so. You can also use it on the bottom of your feet. Hope this helps!
I also have that sweating problem, have for years, till I experimented with using underarm deodorant down there,
I found that the ARM AND HAMMER with baking soda helps, just apply like u do to underarms,
try it, I have to use daily in the summer.
Hi D.,
You may want to try an herbal remedy. My daughter had some good luck with sage tea. You drink three cups a day, spaced throughout the day. You make it by steeping one teaspoon of sage per cup of hot water for about 10-15 minutes. You also can bathe with it. Make a strong tea on the stove by steeping (not boiling) the herb longer and use more of the herb per amount of water. Then pour that into your bath water. Just common, garden sage is the kind to use.
I am a Chiropractor and do Acupuncture. I have had great results with Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) problems. You can visit my website at www.bcoh.org or email me. I do have a member perk with Mama source, so if you do seek treatment, please bring that in to save you money.
I hope this helps,
Dr. J.
D. I have the same problem mine started when I was pregnant with my second child and has continued for the last 3 years. I dread Summer as well as it is worse. I don't have to do anything and I still end up wet. Those who suggested panty liners you obviously havn't experienced this...they don't work you sweat from the crease which still makes your panies and what ever pants you are wearing soaked through. It isn't urine either like I said it isn't the middle of the panties that get wet it is definatley sweat. The only odor I smell is just the wetness moist smell it is bad but not something I want either so I am going to try out what one of the earlier moms responded with and see if the over the couter sprays work. I am desperate too and hate this problem. D. I hope you find a solution as do I let me know if something works for you.
For the under arms I would suggest Certain-Dry. Its a roll on, fragrance free, anti-persperant that can be purchased over the counter at WalMart. I use it and then put my deodorant on top of that. Its not 100% effective but it does reduce the wetness drastically!!
For the lower area I dont know if there are any products available for that but feminine wipes work wonders. Baby wipes are cheaper than feminine wipes and are the same thing, so either will work. I would suggest going into the bathroom every hour or so and "freshening up" with the wipes. Obviously the crotch is a very warm area on the body and because of that it can cause sweating and bacteria growth (yuck) which can make the area have and unpleasent wet look and odor!
I would suggest trying to avoid any added heat to that area. For example: avoid crossing your legs, it can trap the heat. If you work at a desk, put a small fan under your desk and it will cool the entire area under the desk and also your problem area. Under your desk doesnt get a lot of ventilation anyway. Try to avoid heavy and dark clothing that can trap heat. Lighter fabrics and colors can help with heat.
I hope this helps some!

baby powder or corn starch
Hi D.,
I don't know if this will work for heavy sweating in the crotch area, but you can try this: coat your thighs and buttocks with cornstarch, wear 100% cotton panties, and if you need a pantyliner--use the breathable (I use breathable Carefree). Just watch the cornstarch, as it may irritate your va-gigi. :) If you can handle it okay, you can carry a travel size in your purse and re-sprinkle whenever.
Good luck,
Angie
I know this sounds corny, but deodarant works - glide it where your thighs and pelvis meet. Powder works too.
I know it works for at least armpits--Botox... there's somewhat of a hereditary problem for the women in my husband's family with it and they get botox. Its about $10-1$15 per unit if I remember correctly and you don't need that much, they put use it to basically block your sweat glands from producing sweat (its not like it gets "backed up" or anything) and it works for 6 months (enough for the hot months at least) You can call a cosmetic surgeon's office and ask if they do botox, plus a lot of medi-spas do it (there's a great medi spa/surgery center in lees summit Dr. Mat Chatre) and with any doctor, you want to check their credentials and certifications. Good luck!
Panty liners. They are God sent (if you are like me, they make panty liners for g-strings now). Make sure you wear all cotton panties also. I have another suggestion....use anti-perspirant, but (of course)stay away from the inside areas or you'll end up with an infection of some sort or another. I've found that Degree antiperspirant works the best. I use it on the pubic area, between the pubic area and the thighs, and under and between my boobs also. I run 4 miles a day, play softball 2 days a week and sing in a band on the weekends, so I can vouch for the above suggestions because I use all of them!!! Good luck!
D., I have this problem, too -- gotta love heredity! My bigger problem is facial sweating. I found a product online that I have ordered, but have not yet used, so I can't vouch for it's effectiveness yet. But you can check it out at this link: http://www.odaban.com/Uses.asp. It is a general antiperspirant which can be used all over the body. Some of the other suggestions below have helped (powder, panty liners), but nothing seems to completely resolve the problem. Thanks to all the others who have shared their ideas, and good luck to you in finding a solution that works for you!
Certain Dri. They sell is at Target and you put it on at night. Sleep in tighter cloths so it absorbs better. You will notice by the next day and suddenly be able to wear things you would never wear before.
Warning: Don't put it on right after you shave. It will still work if you shave in the morning. Also, you don't need to put on a lot.
I have the same thing in my crotch area. I use Shower to Shower in the morning after my shower, and I carry a travel sized container of it in my purse. I reapply each time I use the restroom, making sure I get it on my panties to absorb the sweat that are on them. Sometimes I take a clean pair in a ziplock bag in my purse and change in the middle of the day. You can put the old pair in the ziplock bag so as to not have underwear floating around in your purse. :-)
Hope this helps. Good luck.
I have the same issue and no ideas to help. Any suggestions would help me too.
The only idea that I have that may help is light weight, lighter colored garments. Light weight panties as well.
Tank tops are good as well. I wear tanks alot, and I chose my clothing accordingly. I am a light weight shorts, or a baggy shorts person. That helps keep clothing from gathering, and bunching making it harder for you to keep cool and dry. Hope that helps....
I don't have this problem but if I did I would wear a thin maxi pad to absorb the moisture & maybe use some baby powder on it to keep fresh.
Good Morning D.!
Why not try some panti liners or if need be some other personal hygiene pads. You can change those as need be and easy to carry in your purse or bag. You can even get some personal hygiene spray if you are concerned of odor building up from the liners or pads.
I hope this idea will help.
Lilly ; )
I had a friend with the same problem. Her dr said she had a weak bladder.

You can wear light colored under clothes and tank tops. You could also wear light colored outer clothing.
I would suggest using some of the feminine powder and wearing cotton underwear because both absorbs moisture. I have been using it while I am pregnant because of extra moisture and it has worked for me.
