Is it as hot there as it is here cause everyone is sweating here, even the guys and I know they haven't had any kids.
Ok, am I the only one out there that sweats like a pig after having a baby four months ago? I kid you not, I am hot and sweating 24/7 and find it almost impossible to cool off (yeah it's hot here, but not that damn hot lol!). I sweat in my sleep, at work, walking around the house, sweating while writing this, everywhere! Can't turn the air conditioner down anymore cause everyone in my house is freezing. What the heck is wrong with me?
P.S. I am nursing! Assume it must be a hormone issue?

Hi--
Sounds like post-partum hyper-thyroidism. That's what I had.....I treated it naturally if you are interested in what I did.
J. :-)
I sweated a lot when I was nursing. It's normal. Although, I've noticed since having DD I am always hot & sweating, even 5 years later.
And here I thought I was the only one. But I am SEVEN months post partum and still sweat like some kind of farm animal. Can't even blame the weather!! I am in Seattle and it's never THAT hot! lol
I will say that I think our hormones are just getting back to normal, I am a nurser so maybe that has something to do with it....either way, it would be nice not to be so damn sweaty!

I sweat for months after each of my kids...... Bad. I'd wake up several times a night drenched in sweat and have to change. I started
sleeping with a towel under and over me because I would soak the sheets! Yuck! Eventually it settles down..... My youngest is almost 8 months and I don't have nearly the problem I did right after delivering. However, I do find that I am still sweatier than normal.....hormones changing for sure. Also, I think a little of that has to do with always holding her and nursing her.... Being that close to another body - even a small one - makes me sweat!
I just noticed where you live.... I am in Denver and I think part of the problem is that this summer is so much more humid
than usual. It's sticky!
Good luck.... It's terrible! At least it is almost fall.
Are you nursing? I know I would break out in a sweat whenever I nursed at first - it was terribly uncomfortable at times!
I would chalk this up to your hormones stabilizing. They really can wreak havok on you.
If you have time, put a call in to your OB/midwife.
Congrats on your new baby!
So I just had my 4th baby 7 months ago, sill nursing, and I am doing the same thing. I did not do it with the other three. I called my doc and he told me the it is hormones and given my age it may also be pre-metapausal. What? I think he is just mean - ha ha. I also see you are in Aurora, so am I, maybe it is just an Aurora, CO thing. = )
Needless to say, I am pretty sure it is hormones and the good news is I have seen a decrease in sweating the last month or so, so maybe it goes away.
Congrats on the new baby!
I laughed when I read this (sorry!), because I have been whining to my husband for months about the same thing. :) But my baby is one today! I am constantly hot and sweaty, to the point that I now put deodorant/antiperspirant not only under my arms, but under my boobs, and on a desperate day last week-down the middle of my back! Eek! It's starting to get a little better....at least I hope it is. Maybe I'm just used to it now? This is my eighth baby and I've nursed all of them but have only had this happen a couple of times and never to this extent. It's been bad enough that I get so warm when I go running that if it is over about 40 degrees out anything other than a tank top and running shorts/skirt is way to hot for me.
Since it never stuck around after I weaned my others babies I am counting on the same thing this time! (and keeping my fingers crossed)
