Hi D.,
Babies tend to find their own comfort zone, whether it be swaddling, or no swaddling with just blankets around them, or even a cuddly teddy bear to help them feel secure etc. If your baby at 7 mos still wants to be swaddled, then let her. If she's comfortable that way and sleeps well that way, I see no reason to force her to break her comfort zone. :-) Is there a certain reason you want to break her of this? Swaddling makes babies feel like they're still in the mother's womb...all cuddled up and snuggled, and warm. She'll be fine. And so will you. :-) When she's ready to stop being swaddled you'll see her try to bring her arms out, or try to wiggle out. Then you'll know it's time to discontinue with the swaddling. I would still make sure she's snuggled with blankets rolled up around her, and with her favorite stuffed toy. Make sure the stuffed toy doesn't have hard button eyes, or noses that she can bite off and choke on. Make sure all the material is soft. Best wishes,G.
