SOO...I have an 8 yr old and a 7 mnth old......AAAAAANNNDDD i found out today that I am about 5 wks pregnant. A total surprise in the sense that my husband and i weren't trying but at the same time, we werent preventing either. I dont know how to feel. I am still in a bit of shock. I knoe that he will be overjoyed because this will be his chance to get his daughter he's been wanting since we have 2 boys.

I would like creative ideas of how to tell my husband that we are expecting..AGAIN!!!!

What can I do next?

I know a lady who found out she was pregnant when her daughter was a bout 6 months old. She got a plain white onsie and wrote "big sister" on it and put it on baby right before dad got home :) it was really cute!!

I found out about a month before christmas. I wrapped up 3 presents and told my husband to pick one. I had wrapped the pregnancy test in one (with the positive results), i bought him a card that said something like Your going to be a dad, and i bought him little baby booties. He ended up opening the pregnancy stick. My step daughter was there and when he opened it, she said "Whats the thermometer for?" haha. He didnt say anything and came over to me and gave me Biggest and Longest Hug he has ever given me! To this day, even 7 years after the divorce, still a great memory.

Make dinner and have "Baby" back ribs, with "Baby" corn, have a bouquet of "baby's" breath as a center piece..... You get the idea. Give him multiple signs with the word "Baby" in the title so that he put's the pieces together. Good Luck and congratulations!

I wrote " I am going to be a big sister to my eldest's onesie when we were expecting the 2nd. It was a cold day so she had a sweater on. We were at her grandmas for a weekend lunch and somehow I got one of my SILs to change my dds sweater and there it was... titillating screams...LOL

You can always tape a note on the baby's diaper and ask your hubby to "please change the baby"

Wrap up the pg test in a watch box and give it to him for Valentines day. Or, get him a father v-day card and sign it, x, y and ? (question mark).

One time I took an old prescription medicine bottle and peeled the label and added my own that read, "Daddy, I can't wait to meet you in Oct 2007." I put it where his other medicine bottle was. It took him a minute to 'get' it, he was confused at first but when I gave him the "look" and it sunk in it was all worth it.

I dressed my youngest son in a tshirt that said "Big Brother", took a picture, and had a card made on snapfish or shutterfly...it was around Father's Day, so that was the kind of card I made. For this time of year, it could be a Valentine's Card. Put the picture on the front reading "Happy Valentine's Day" and on the inside, write something like "Your present will arrive around (insert due date)"....then see if he catches on. It took my husband a few minutes of looking at the card over and over. Finally, he asked if the card meant what he thought it did! He really liked it :) Plus, then you have a great start to your baby book.

When I told the whole family, I had them over and I made everything "little": baby corn, baby peas, baby back ribs, juice boxes, etc, etc, etc. desert: petit fours. It took a little while but everyone caught on and we had a great celebration. You could do the same thing just make it for your husband.
