Hi M.,
This website that I've included ( dltk.com ) behavior chart allows you to customize charts for behavior, chores, etc... When my kids were little, I typed what I wanted and let my kids pick from the character photos to include on their charts. I printed it on card stock and laminated each one. (You can lamintate at teacher type stores for just a dollar or two. I laminated my kids at Lakeshore Learning.)
Then I would let my children use a marker and put a happy face in the boxes that they did well. At the end of the week, you wipe it off and start again. (They have markers made for this at Walmart, Office Depot, et...) A reward is given at the end of the week if a realistic # of stars were on the chart.) I gave little trinkets and them chose from the "treasure chest" that I designed with wrapping paper and a cardboard box, along with some gems glued to it. It really helped and I weaned them away from it when they got to be about 5 or 6 yrs. old.
Now.... I randomly reward them with a little something for behaving nicely, using good manner, etc... But... this is not often now since they are older and I feel they should be doing this stuff without too many extrinsic rewards. I do continue to praise them when I notice good things, though. But... yeah... the charts did help a lot when they were preschoolers. (Just remember to be consistent with it.)
I haven't seen the SuperNanny's charts in awhile since we don't watch the show anymore. Good show for ideas but my kids are now 9 and doing fine so we've phased out the charts now. The charts that I described above are simple and may not be fancy in comparison to the Supernanny's but they served their purpose. If you want the fancy type of charts that are magnetic or whatever else , try looking into teacher stores. These stores are so cool and there are so many educational toys in there as well. I know I've seen hands on calendars before in there so maybe they'd have hands on charts for behavior, chores, etc....
Here's the website (again) that I used for charts and for so many other things such as crafts when my kids were little: dltk.com behavior chart
I hope this helps some!
