There is a baby safe sunscreen made by California Babies. You can find it on the internet or at Whole Foods. It works great, especially for fair skin.
can you use a continuous spray on a 10 month old? I've used it on my 7 year old but she is able to not breath in for a moment.
Thank you very much for all your responses. I now have an idea of what kind of sunscreen to get

I have no idea about sunscreen on a baby. I know someone that used it on her 5 year old son and it broke hi m out really bad and the doctors told her not to use it on hi, until he was a lot older.

It was summer when my daughter was just 3 mos old and I did a lot of research on what was safe to put on her. I probably wouldn't go with a spray at all at that age. I learned that most pediatricians recommend Blue Lizard Sunscreen. And Mom's seem to like it too. We went with California Baby brand based on lots of positive Mom reviews and they use natural products for more sensitive skin (which I think is good for babies). And as my daughter has gotten older I've used both California Baby sunscreen and bug repellent products along with Arbonne ABC Sunscreen. All these are lotions, so they're not as convenient, but much safer. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I have also wondered about sprays and talked with a friend last summer. She said that her dr told her that you don't get as good a coverage with the sprays because they can blow away and some parts of the skin more spray than other parts. i thought it made alot of sense and have chosen for my family to stick with the creams/lotions just make sure they are protected as much as possible. Even for myself I never buy less than a 45 spf. Good Luck!! L.
do not spray anything into your baby's face! spray a bit into your hand and then use a finger or two to apply it to her face avoiding her eyes and mouth. you really should have your seven year old do the same.
Hi T.,
I love the fact that you are so conscientious about your little one! I wouldn't use a spray on a little one. You don't have as much control where it goes. I would use a 50 sunscreen on your little one. Some mother's love a little tan on their babies, but thier skin is to tender and new, I wouldn't risk a tan for an ouchy baby. Blessings, A.
For a 10 month old, I would spray it in your hand first, then rub it on your little girl.
The directions on most sprays say they aren't intended for children that young. But if you spray it on your hand first and then apply it, I think it'd be okay. Check with your doctor to see if there are ingredients in it that might be harmful to an infant.

Please make sure that the spray on sunscreen provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays. I would reccommend the sunscreen products from Arbonne International. A 7 year old can use either the sunscreen from the ABC or the Before Sun line from Arbonne International. These products are Safe, Pure and Beneficial and can be purchased at wholesale through an Independent Consultant, like me. I would be happy to send you a sample. Great question, have a wonderful day!

no my peditrician said to use lotion they have some real good one's they are a little expensive but worth it i think the brand name is eucerin and she said to get her a sun hat.
I would not ever use spray sunscreen on children. Not only is it horrible for them take in, even if they can hold their breath...they still inhale it. But, cream sunscreen is the only type you should be putting on your children. It protects them so much more. It needs to be UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum with Avobenzone. Or Zinc Oxide - there are 2. It is great you are putting sunscreen on them but there are so many common misconceptions about how to property protect your children when enjoying being outdoors. Knowing the proper way to protect their skin is so important. A tan is just as bad as a burn - increases their chances of skin cancer drastically.
I think it would be fine to put it on her body, maybe for her little face, spray it on your hands first and put it on that way.
i would not use this on a baby b/c babies can not hold their breath... use a cream or a stick is less messy
I would only use water babies sunscreen, or another brand made just for babies. You can never be too safe, plus most of the sunscreens for babies are tear free ect....
Hi T.,
I'm not too sure I would want to apply anything to my grandkids that would require them to hold their breath and I've learned that anything you put ON the body goes INTO the body.
Here is what we now use and why:

Hi T. ~ Your concern about the spray is certainly founded. The spray is so convenient; however, I think it's designed for older children. The Arbonne Baby Care Suncreen SPF 30+ is formulated to provide intense moisture and assist the skin's ability to retain moisture, because babies skin is so prone to dryness and is easily irritated. I hope this helped. Let me know if you'd like me to drop a sample in the mail to you. Have a terrific day!
Ask your child's Dr and take the product to your next well baby check up. I wouldn't advise you on this and I would not listen to any one else's advise other than your child's Dr.
