I have a 6 week old baby and my husband and I both teach school. We will be off for the summer and we spend a lot of time at the pool... especially since we have a 5 year old that swims like a fish. Does anyone know of sunblock that is safe for newborns? Any other suggestions? I have already bought her a swimsuit with SPF protection...

I would hands down recomend Arbonne ABC sunscreen. I have used all the Arbonne ABC products on my son since he was born and they are AMAZING! They are all natural, purely botanical, and certified Vegan. If you would like any more info message me and I can give you my consultnat ID#. I became an Arbonne consultant solely for the reason that I saw how great these baby products are. Go to www.arbonne.com and check it out!

We use Noodle & Boo sunscreen on our daughter and used the Blue Lizard stuff when she was about 3 months (I think that the blue lizard has less chemicals in it). We also bought her a sun hat from http://www.coolibar.com/ last summer when we went to the lake (it has spf protection in it). I would just be super, super careful since they burn so easily!

I have heard that Arbonne has amazing sunscreen for kids. I have a friend I go to church with and that is the only thing she will put on her baby. Arbonne is all natural. If you are interested you can check out there webstie. I am thinking about signing up soon, and I can try to get you some from my friend. I live in Lucas, and my older son goes to Christian school in McKinney.

Hi Marcy,
I'm an Arbonne consultant and wanted you to know that our baby sunscreen is great, but Arbonne does recommend that you ask your doctor before using it on children under 6 months of age.
I live in McKinney close to Boyd H.S. I would be happy to get a sample to you and some literature if you would like to show it to your pediatrician.

On all of these websites, you see that it says to keep babies under 1 year out of direct sunlight. Some people may think this is extreme, but we did it. There are many ways to keep baby shaded. When you're at the pool, can't the baby stay in the carseat under an umbrella or tree? You could also keep the baby in a carrier on you and hold an umbrella over yourself.
