Summer Weekend Family Trip in Oregon

Oregon rents yurts in many of the campgrounds. They may not all be reserved yet or you could put your name on a wait list. This way you'd be camping but have a bed. Look on the Internet under Oregon State Parks.

Or you could rent a camper.

We just had a really fun family weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge. My 4 year olds had a blast and we never ran out of things to do. No waterslides for you though mama! They have a good informative website you can check out for more information, but this was a BIG hit for my family!

I just found a cool place by chance, it's Mt. Hood Village RV resort. they have full funished cabins in a park setting, so it's like camping but nicer!!

I've found KOA's also offer stuff like this. we've been going to the Astoria one lately (3 times in a row!!!!) and have had a great time. they have indoor pools, parks, pancake breakfast, movies, etc. it's really a great time. so, those are my two suggestions for you to enjoy and go camping!! :)

I just read the other two answers... just fyi - there are two different kinds of cambins. bare bones - thin mattress pads only --- or there are deluxe ones - with a bathroom, nice beds, etc.

so make sure you know what you're getting!! we've been doing the bare bones one - which is great - but maybe at 8 1/2 months preg. I'd splurge!!

i would check out the KOA camps, specifically the ones that have cabins so you can have a bed. they're pretty minimal but better than sleeping on the ground, plus they have other amenities in camp. you can also pitch tents there too.
