The YWCA of Boulder, located on 14th and Mapleton, offers drop off daycare by the hour, M-F and Saturdays.
I'm a single mom and am going to be job hunting in Boulder and Denver in a few weeks and need to find somewhere to park my 3 1/2 yr old son while I'm interviewing. I'll probably be staying in Broomfield (as that seems most centrally located between Boulder and Denver) but I need ideas on where to leave my son during the day. I could look for a childcare place that offers pay by the hour/day options but thought maybe a summer daycamp might be a fun idea for him too. In our area of Dallas where we'll be moving from there are lots of pay by the day or week summer camps. (I'll be posting a separate question on where to stay) The dates are weekdays from June 21-July 11 (though I suspect during the 4th of july holiday my odds of landing interviews will be slim.)
Thanks!

Check out the Broomfield Child Care Association for referrals for family child care.
The Arvada Center http://www.arvadacenter.org has a bunch of day camps, but he may be too young for them. I believe most of them start at age 5.
The Y also has camps aside from their regular stuff.
Stir It Up cooking school as some half day activities for kids his age. They're in Boulder.
Check out Gateway Academy in Broomfield. They are at 120th and Sheridan. They are wonderful. The teachers in the 3 year old room are fantastic. My daughter is in that room. And, they are just getting ready to start their summer camp.
As the mom of a 3 1/2 year old, I have found that camps for kids under 5 are few and far between in this area. If you are interviewing in Boulder, there's a great drop-in option - the YWCA has drop-in daycare at the Children's Alley. You reserve your space daily (call the day before at 2 to reserve the time you need). They also charge on a sliding scale (if you want to provide them with financial info). They are really great, and the daycare is highly regarded. I use them quite often. Good luck.
My kids go to Victory Montessori and Daycare, ###-###-####. It's on 117th and Sheridan and it's run through/inside of Victory Church. It's affordable, and you can ask them about drop-in/hourly rates. My kids are younger so I don't know the exact policys for a preschooler. But I do know that the summers are usually lean there, since a lot of the parents are teachers and they pull their kids at that time. They do a lot of fun learning things with all of the kids, and they are open from 6:30-6:00. There are some more daycare center-type options all along that strip, from 120th/Sheridan west to Wadsworth/287 that are not too expensive (there are the expensive ones, too, but they are the chains and you can easily find them online). Let me know if you have any more questions.
