We plan on going to FL the week of March 22. I am sure Disney will be cowded with lines. How bad will it be?

Our children are 2, 5, 8 and really into star wars. Maybe MGM. Can anyone give me any advice for traveling on a budget. We don't plan on spending our entire vacation at disney. We are going to a couple spring training games in Jupiter. We are on a budget. Can anyone give us any suggestions to save money.

What can I do next?

I know its cutting it close but did you check out the Give a Day, Get a Day program that Disney is doing right now? You can find it on their home page. Maybe you have time to get in a volunteer experience before your trip... and get one free day pass for you, your DH and your 8 yr old. There are tons of volunteer opportunties available. Some you only have to commit a few hours of your time.... and the turn around to get the vouchers was really fast (atleast for us it was)! We are planning a trip the end of April and my DH and I volunteered for a local food bank. They had extremely flexible hours & we put in about 4 hours each. Then had the vouchers emailed to us within a few days. Might be worth checking into, if you do it asap!!
Then as the other Mom said, pack lunches & snacks for when your at the park and granola bars, muffins, or something easy to have breakfast in your hotel room. Good luck and have fun!

My husband and I would share a hamber and fries or sandwich and fries it was always plenty for us to split things and we brought our water bottles and just filled those up when we needed to or you can buy yourself a kids meal and lots of times one kids meal can even be shared by 2 kids if they aren't big eatters have them share. Are you staying on the property because if you are take advantage of the extra early hours and hit all the big rides first before the park opens up to the general public .

I would go to Seaworld & busch gardens over disney if you don't like crowds. You can definitely take snacks & water or juice boxes in, not sure if they let you take in sandwiches to Seaworld. You can feed 2 to 3 people on the chicken finger meal at Seaworld so don't buy one for each person. Take your stroller to carry everything in too.
