I am looking for suggestions on cookbooks to help my family eat more healthy. We are not big into fish- and need receipes that can be prepared quickly. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old who are pickier than picky! So any suggestions there would be great!

Thank you!

So What Happened?

Thank you, Thank you, thank you!Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate everyone's suggestions and I have been checking into all of them online. I am hoping that with your great suggestions and making a schedule of good meals for the week, I can go online and do my grocery shopping to keep my family ontrack with healthy meals. I find when I do my grocery shopping online I am more likely to stick to my list and LESS likely to be tempted to buy junk food or things that my kids beg for... plus, it is such a nice bonus to have them delivered to your kitchen!

Have you tried the Rachael Ray cookbooks? They have some wonderful, quick recipes in them.

Weight Watchers magazine has some fun and easy recipes. They taste great too. Kraft food and family has some cool stuff too, but you have to watch out for fat and calories with that one. You might also try some of the recipes in Parents magazine. They're pretty kid-friendly.

I Don't Know Where You Live, But Try Shopping At Trader Joe's (Check It Out At Traderjoes.com)
It's Not A Cookbook Or Recipe But They Have A Healthier Pick Of Tasteful Foods From All Around The World & At A Cheaper Price. They As Quoted "strip away all the fancy stuff and focus on the important things like "natural ingredients" and inspiring flavors."
I Recently Started Cooking More In Less Time At A Cheaper Price And Healthier Appitite Shopping There.

Have you been to allrecipes.com? Great site for recipes. My daughter is a very picky eater too. One of her favorite things are tacos (quick and easy). Utensil free and you can use ground turkey instead of hamburger for less fat. Wrap sandwiches are easy too and come in plenty of healthy varieties. Use grilled boneless chicken (grill ahead and freeze)in them with fresh veggies. What are some of the things they like? Maybe I can find a way to make that stuff healthy for you!

HI!

Cooking Light has a great cookbook they put out every year and it compiles the best of their recipes from that year. There are a ton of great recipes - it includes many of the traditional comfort foods that kids like exist, but healthier ingredients decrease the overall fat/sodium and calories. In addition, Rachel Ray has a great line of cookbooks and while I don't know how many focus on "health conscious" recipes, there are GREAT Kids cookbooks and "Meals in 30 minutes" that allow family members to help with prep but enables you to get food on the table fast.
