Hello! I need some help figuring out how to fit all three of my kids in the back seat of my nanny's 1999 Jeep Cherokee. I have a 5 year old in a booster, a 3 year old in a car seat, and a 20 pound 13 month old who is now too big for her rear-facing "pumpkin seat." We currently are using Britax marathon car seats, but can't fit 2 of them plus a booster in the back of her car. Any experience with smaller but just as safe car seats? Thanks!
As a Mother of 15 month old triplets, I can tell You that there have been several vehicles that it just wasn't possible for us to put 3 car seats in. We actually had to trade our car in and get a van because of this. The only suggestion I have is maybe one of those smaller booster seats. Best of Luck to You.

Graco has a new seat out called the Nautilus. I just bought two; one for my 2.5 year old and one for my four year old. We love them. They are very solid and comfy and they take up less room than the other higher weight seats/boosters out there. It's a three use seat... forward facing with a harness from 20-65lbs, booster to use with a seat belt, and also a backless booster up to 100lbs. We bought these in January and are absolutely loving them!

I remembered seeing this review on babble.com and thought it might help you. It seems pricey, but may be a good option for your two that are still in car seats. Good luck!
Sunshine Kids Radian80 - $280
For twins, triplets or smaller cars, check out the Radian80 convertible seat by Sunshine Kids. This is not only one of the narrowest seats on the market (fits three across in the back of most cars), but it also folds in half for easier hauling with the included carrying strap. Suitable from five to eighty pounds, this compact car seat includes side impact protection with EPS safety foam, a steel alloy frame and removable infant padding. Available in four color options, the hefty price tag gets you a seat that is big on quality and safety but small on size.
Edit to add--I just saw another responder (can't remember her name though) in a different question who said that this carseat is 17" across at the widest point. The webiste is www.skjp.com, but she got hers at an Ebay store for a lot cheaper. She said it was a great carseat.

Just an FYI my have a 99 blazer and according to manual I am not suppose to use the center seat beat to secure a car seat. I took it to a fire station to have one installed and he looked at my owners manual.
