We just ended up using Evite which is great because it's free and no one really cares what a baptism invitation looks like nor do they save them. More earth-friendly than the paper/card stock ones! There are religious choices on there as well.
Hi ladies, I am planning my daughter's baptism and I was looking online for a reasonable prices on invitations. Does anyone have any recommendations, I would like to get a religious theme baptism invite. I haven't had much luck. If you have any advise or suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I just had my daughter's baptism and I bought baptism invitations from vistaprint for a very reasonable price.
I used lukecommasara on etsy.com. She makes proofs of cards usually with photos (your own or hers) and then emails the proof to you. You send that proof (print) to a store to be developed (Like walgreens or walmart). You can print as many as you need. (If you print from walmart they will send free envelopes with your cards!)
I think I spent a total of $25 for 50 invitations including envelopes. (That includes the price of the proof as well. Great deal! And much cheaper than tinyprints!
It's actually really neat to see your own work being used for that special day.
I would either make my own invitations using graphics from Google or microsoft office, or design my own and go to Kinko's to have them put the invitation together on cardstock. I designed my own wedding program, brought it to Kinko's, explained what I wanted, and it was done in a day or so very cheaply. By the way, if I can do it, anyone can-I'm not the creative type at all.
I work with a company where you can design your own cards online or choose from their religious invites too (there are baptism ones in the card catalog). You can even download her picture into the card if you want. It's really affordable and they do all the work for you of printing a high quality greeting card and mailing it out. Send me a PM if you'd like a little more information and I can e-mail it to you.
I like expressionspaperie.com. Megan is very easy to work with.
I got mine at Wal-Mart.
Hallmark sells beautiful card stock for invitations so you can "print them yourself" on your home computer printer. When I last shopped, there were two versions that were suitable for a Baptism. You can download templates at the Hallmark Website. Mine turned out elegant -- but very inexpensive!
We just used http://www.invitingsmiles.com/
They were only $1 each, personalized, fast and they turned out beautiful! They have a professional that works with you to design your invite based on the samples that they have online. I sent them several pictures (because I couldnt pick the cutest) and they picked the perfect ones and made it beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments.
I used tinyprints for my first sons baptism, but they are a lot more expensive and I actually think invitingsmiles did a better job.
Good luck!
I also got my baptism invitations from Halmark. However, I did not print them myself. Halmark will print them for you. It was inexpensive and I was very happy with my invitations. They were religious themed and very sweet. It didn't take long for them to be ready, either.
I found some really beautiful ones from www.tinyprints.com. They do have religious themed ones, AND you can personalize them with your own photos if you so desire. I can't recall the exact price, but it was reasonable and is a keepsake since I had put my son's baby pic on it. It really blew away so many of my family members, many of whom have very highly refined tastes. You can google Tiny Prints Discount Codes to try to lower your cost.

You can make your own. There are so many programs available now. Print out something with a nice font, layer it on cardstock, with a ribbon at the top. Easy and elegant. And inexpensive!
Funny, I'm going to Target today to get baptism invitations. I usually make my own. I'll go and get the pretty cardstock and then print out at home. They usually have invitation kits in the card section.
Target has these: http://www.target.com/20-Count-White-Silver-Cross-Invite/...
I got them and the turned out pretty nice. Also, they include the thank yous.
Kodak Gallery right now is having Free birth announcements, but you maybe able to cater it to a baptism invitation. I don't know how many free you get, but all you have to do is pay shipping. Also, vistaprint.com is very reasonably priced for invitations.
I have used invitationbox.com for several invitations in the last year. They have a pretty good selection at a variety of prices. I actually purchased my sons baptism invites from them and were very happy with them.
