How about they donate them to charity and learn how good it feels knowing that some kids will maybe get them for Christmas who could not get them otherwise?
My 7 year old twin daughters want to sell their stuffed animals that they have out-grown. They are suggesting $1.00 each. What are your suggestions?

We give them away free at our garage sales and hardly anyone takes them. They are usually considered to be unsanitary, kids chew on them and they get drug around so people just don't want used ones.
How are they going to sell it?
You putting on a garage sale for them?
Is this a lesson on money for them?
I don't think, per a garage sale, many stuffed animals will get sold... or for that price. Bring the price down lower....
Next: getting rid of stuffed animals.. can be donated... to hospitals for terminally ill children, for shelters, even Zoos too for toys for animals, for any charitable group that helps kids....
My BF and I had a yard sale a few months ago. Stuffed animals were priced at 50 cents and we didn't sell very many.
A dollar for a toy is a high price at many garage sales! Here's another thought: your girls could ask their nearest fire station if the firefighters are collecting good-condition stuffed animals. Their stuffed friends would go to children who need them.
It could a hard sell, the salvation army sells theirs for ten cents.
If you're doing a garage sale, I think that's a good price to start with if they're in near-perfect condition, but to be ready to accept $.50-.25 each instead. Stuffed animals are a hard sell, because they need to be cleaned and that's not so easy. I got rid of a whole box full of stuffed animals, which I had already washed, for about $2.00 at our garage sale a few years ago. I was just happy to see them go and considered the money a bonus. For that reason, you cannot donate them. I wish your girls lots of luck!
good luck, I have always had to practically give ours away at garage sales
i agree with maybe a lower price, and no most hospitals wont take stuffed animals esp used ones because they are not hypoalergenic(spelling)
