Hi M.. I use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for everything- If you haven't tried them- I swear by them- they clean grease, pen, crayon- anything. Hope this helps!!! -M.
When it comes to cleaning my white stove I cant seem to get rid of the dusty grease that kind of solidifies into fat. I have tried every product that I can think of but none of them work. Is there anyone else who has this problem or knows of a product that will do the job?? Help!
I tried the vinegar and it worked wonders. Shortly after I tried this I saw it on the Rachael Ray show. Thank you all for your suggestions. :o)

Go get a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. All you need is water and I haven't seen anything yet that it can't clean perfectly.
I would say try easy off oven cleaner let it soak and dont breath in the fumes it works great on grease!
Hi M.,
I had heard once to use Tang...yes the drink. Something about the acid..not sure..but it's worth a try! let us know how you make out:)
Cheers
Sue
I bought a container of the orange wipes at the Dollar Tree in Easton and they work GREAT! I've never seen anything work as well as them on the grease on my stove. I bought them in the dispensing container as well as a resealable package...both of them worked well. I believe you get 35 wipes for a buck!!!! Good luck!
Girl, I had this same problem! Try using some Bleach. I did this one day and it made the stove look like new. Maybe a cap or two of bleach on a rag with a couple of splashes of water on the rag. Just wear gloves or your hands will smell like bleach. The other suggestions all sound great, too, but you may already have some bleach in the house. Good luck!
I use simple green for my stove.
409 works the best for me!!
Dawn makes a spray, I think it's called Power Dissolve. It works great! Good luck!
I know this sound wierd but i use a scotch pan scrubbing pad. It works great!
You can use oven cleaner on the enamel top of the stove.
De-Solv-it, but the only place I have seen it is Walmart.
I would LOVE to introduce you all to a company that makes INCREDIBLE cleaning products that work as well or better than those you find at the store. Not only are they very effective at cleaning all kinds of things, they are also all natural. Do you ever notice as you walk down the isle in the grocery store w/ all the cleaning products that the smell is sometimes overpowering? It's called "outgassing," meaning the chemicals in those sealed bottles are actually seeping thru the plastic. Mix too many of them, especially in your home where it's closer quarters, and they can form toxic gasses. Dawn dishwashing liquid stands out particullarly because if it is accidentlly ingested by a child, the effects are irreversable and possibly deadly. Just think of the residue that is left on your dishes after you wash them. I ran out of my natural stuff one time recently and tried to find the most gentle liquid. I bought IVORY thinking "the commercial says 99.99% pure" for the soap, anyway. Well I could actually taste the stuff in my food!!! I immediately called and had more of the natural stuff shipped overnight! Please, ladies, I'm not trying to "sell" you anything, just inform you of the dangers of chemicals. You can visit the website at "www.melaleuca.com" or email me at ____@____.com. Believe me, I wouldn't live without it.
Hey I just wanted to let ya know that when I clean my whole kitchen I use Mean Green it works wonders there is so many different kinds u can get...
have you tried GREASED LIGHTNING? it comes in a spray bottle in the cleaning aisle. the bottle is white with black and yellow detail. it works AWESOME! on some things, too well. you can use it on your stove or sink. NEVER use it on your walls or any contact paper. it will strip the paint right off. it will take the design out of contact paper. but if you have grease on stoves, fridge, tile, sink... this is the stuff!
Plain ole vinegar works pretty good on most things. Just spray it on, let it sit for awhile and wipe it off with paper towels.
Try Barkeepers' Friend- it's in the supermarket near the Comet scrub. It takes rust off everything (that's its claim to fame) but it doesn't scratch anything and it works on EVERYTHING. I'm a new woman since I found that stuff- MUCH HAPPIER now that things are easier to clean! Good luck!
Two words....GREASED LIGHTNING!!! The stuff will work on anything. Just make sure you keep it off the walls and any wood surface. When we moved into our house there was a film on the linoleum and I tried everything. GL took it right off. Saved me a fortune on a new floor. You can get it at the Dollor Store for $3.00.
I use clorox clean up or if i am out of that i use dish detergent. If you opt for detergent cause its one less thing to buy then make sure you use hot water to lidquidize the grase first.
we found that those "erasers" - mr clean maybe? - work really well on a varierty of stubborn spots including on the stovetop stains/greese.
clorox clean-up should do the trick!
Hi, One of the best cleaners we have found for grease and hard to remove dirt is called KABOOM. It comes in a purple spray bottle. Hope you find something (:
Try Soft Scrub. It is great on stoves and tubs!

I just recently discovered the power of Borax!! 20 mule team , its an old household helper and I have been using it for almost everything from cleaning my toilet to grease to taming my cat litter's smell... make either a solution of it about half cup to cup of water, and wipe wherever, or make a paste solution. Its natural and does good, but wear gloves, it can dry your skin out.
Hi M., I have a very old Chambers stove from the 60's or 70's. It's stainless steel and that is the worst thing to try to get off. I use Dawn Power Dissolver. It works great. you may have to use it twice but you don't have to scrub at all. I let mine sit for about 15-20 minutes. Hope this helps.
I had the same problem before. I used mr. clean eraser and it took alot of the grease off. If that doesn't work, try Mean Green. It is a cleaner and degreaser. I found that Mean Green works really well when it comes to grease or stuck on dirt.
Hi, I have something that may actually help, I have the same problem, and I am a clean freak. Its going to sound odd but I go to the dollar store (Dollar Tree) and I buy a product called AWESOME, it gets rid of almost everything, I swear by it in my house-its only a $1 so its worth a shot, and when I don't use that I use the orange cleaner, but thats my suggestions, hope it helps
I use the magic erasers on alot of things try that or have you used a brillo pad?
Hi,
You can try to buy a product called Bar Keepers friend. It works on EVERYTHING!
Good luck :)

I use Fantastik Orange Action. It takes it right off of my white stove. I have also used stuff called Goo Be Gone. This works on most stuff like that if the other won't work.
T.:)
I just bought KaBOOM! at Target to get the soap scum off my shower door and I can not believe how well it worked. Spray it on, let it sit for 30 seconds and you can wipe it away with your hand. I think if it works on Soap Scum, I t will work on grease!! Give it a try!! It is awesome!!
I use a lot of different products that work for me . When I can't get something to work that I try ,I go to a website which is www.queenofclean.com. She used to have a tv show. I don't know if she does anymore, but she has great ideas and they all work from what I have tried.Good luck!
Barkeeper's Friend or Bon Ami. I also love, while the stuff is still liquidy, those bleach wipes you can get at Costco.
I just love the Mr. Clean magic erasers. They really help, plus Dawn Power Scrub is great too.
for the longest problem i also had this problem...i tried that new "bam"...never had greese come off so easily before...now i use it all the time...
My husband is a wonderful cook...but he is messy! I have found that easy off oven cleaner works the best! Leave it on as long as you can and rinse with hot water! Just be careful around the dials or any other painted on writing. The easy off will remove that to!
good luck

A paste of baking soda and water will clean almost anything.
I had same problem, my husband used mr green extra strengh, its used for alot of things and it worked on our stove. you can buy it at chemical store he said...dont know where here in Pittsburgh, but ask around it worked wonders! good luck
