First off ladies I can not thank you enough for everything yall do for me. I dont have a mother and I can ask you all any question and it feels almost as good as having a momma. I was wondering if you all could recommend a good stroller to us. With our first child I went through 5 strollers...I walked a lot!!!! I would just break them and this time I know Graco is not the best brand for us because it did not hold up as well. Do you all recommend a good stroller?
We have a Phil & Ted and wish we had it for the first time around. I use it for daily walks, for out and about and traveling. It can be pushed with one hand, even with two kids in it. Very versatile and the kids love it.
I also recommend phil and ted strollers- durable, easy to use, lightweight, stylish, jogger, adaptable, versatile, easy to clean, etc!
We bought several strollers before we broke down and invested in a Mclaren. LOVE IT! WE have a single and a double. They visit NYC a lot and even using this brand is perfect for city travel, as well as our suburban home area!
Goodness, I could not imagine wearing out strollers so quickly! We have one stroller that held up through our first child and is now halfway through child number two and still going strong. It's a Peg Perego. I guess it might be a little pricier than the others, but if you have to keep replacing them, that can really add up! This one you buy once and use it forever. And we do not treat it gently at all. We love it.
Phil and Teds has been great for us and our two kids.

I have a chico - i love it! i would also suggest getting the store warranty - at babies r us - it's only about $20 and if ANYTHING happens to it (a section of material on mine torn - because i put it in the truck and it caught on something) you can return it - no questions asked for up to a year! its great - if you are organized and hold on to your receipt! I really love the stroller though - i have since moved to a smaller unbrella type - because we don't need the big stroller and it takes up a lot of room in the trunk - but when we are in the neighborhood i usually still use the chico

What's your budget? Are you looking for a double? What kind of terrain are you generally dealing with?
I love the UppaBaby for a single, but it is quite expensive - I found mine for a smokin' deal on mamabargains.com (a deal a day kind of site that occasionally sells strollers). The UppaBaby has a reversible seat which I adore because I can face my daughter to interact with her and can turn her away from the sun when needed. It pushes like a dream and can turn on a dime.
Anyway, another place you should check for great advice and for deals is the StrollerSWAP group on Yahoo Groups. These ladies have a lot of experience and wisdom and often sell barely used strollers at great prices. They also often notify each other of great deals when they come up. Good luck!
My sister has a 6 month old and she polled everyone she knew and ended up getting the Phil and Ted's sport version. It's expensive but amazing! She lives in Boston so the MBTA tracks and New England streets are tough and this stroller glides over both! It's also very comfortable for walking...like a jogger. It has an infant seat attachment and you can add a second seat in back. I know she HIGHLY recommends this stroller and having taken him for a walk I agree!! :) Good luck!
I live on Capitol Hill where the brick sidewalks can really do a number on stroller wheels. My two favorite strollers are the B.O.B jogging stroller (that thing can practically climb walls. It can definitely go off-road, on the grass and handles curbs very well. My only complaint is that it is big so it's not always easy to take into stores or restaurants.) and the Maclaren umbrella stroller. I like the Maclaren because it is SOOOO much more durable than other umbrella strollers, but it still folds up very nicely and you can carry it on your shoulder.

I have the Chicco travel set and it's been great! I didn't walk long distances with it too much (I use my jogger for that) but now that my little one is bigger, we use a McClaren and it's the greatest. It's small and we've taken it everywhere! Hope this helps!

If you're walking alot...you might want to invest in a jogging stroller, they hold up better for long distances/rough terrains. I got the instep from Target, it was just over a hundred dollars, and we still use it sometimes (he's four and heavy). It held up great, they can't really use it until they can sit up by themselves, so we had a GRACO travel system with his car seat until he was an infant, then I only used that at the mall or something, but all outdoor walking was the jogger. I was like you, going through several strollers a child because we were on the go so much. With my 4th child (and last!) we went with a Peg Perego model. It was a bit more pricey, but that stroller held up to all of our activity and then some. I was able to sell it for a decent price after he outgrew it! To save money I went online and found the previous year's model that had a pattern that was "old" but it was still a great looking stroller and I got it for almost half price that way. It was still brand new, but kind of like last year's model car on the new car lot, "out of date".
Have you tried a jogging stroller? They make them for 2.

i love graco. i got the quattro tour travel system and my 4 year old still uses it. we use it all the time. buch gardens ocean breeze parks malls you name it we are there with the stroller. good luck
