i am on the hunt for a stroller for my 2 1/2 year old. I currently have a Graco stroller and I am at a point at which the stroller is a pain to lug around everywhere I go. I have 2 older children and with them I had a Chicco Capri stroller, but the problem was that I am tall and it was too short. I like to try to let her walk as much as possible, but with a 9 and 7 year old letting the little one walk is not always an option. Any suggestions?? I am trying to stay within a reasonable price range.

Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I just ordered the Britax Blink for my 2 1/2 year old --- I haven't received it yet (it should come tomorrow) but the reviews state that it's a great carriage. It's also good up to 55 lbs --- which is an extra bonus. I also read that the handles are up higher which makes it easier for us tall people to push it. It also reclines all the way back and folds up like an umbrella stroller. It also comes with a carrying bag. I ordered mine from diapers.com. It's on sale (until end of Jan I believe) for 99 + free shipping and if you are a first time customer you get 10% off. You will have to pay tax though.

If you can catch a sale or have a coupon, the Maclaren line is wonderful! My husband and I are both comfortable with the handle height (one model is actually adjustable). Check Craigslist, as they are often listed b/c they are $$$ and people would rather sell them than throw them out when they are no longer using!

My son is 3 1/2. After much trial and error I keep going back to my Maclaren Volo, which I've used since he was one. It holds up to 55 lbs and folds very small, so it's great for stashing in the car in case you need it or for trips. If your child prefers to walk, you can just carry it by the shoulder strap. Very light. Given the recent recall, make sure you get the free hinge covers for it at the Maclaren website, and always open/ close the stroller when your child is not near to avoid risk of injury. You'll find my full review of this plus other lightweight strollers on amazon.

Maclaren Triump
A friend has received one from a gal she knew that had replaced it with a new Maclaren and she was she loved how it handeled and her duaghter was 2 at the time hated and faught when she would put her in her other strollers and her daughter LOVE this stroller.
I got mine at a non-profit thrift shop for $8- I LOVE it!! It is so easy to steer one handed (2.5 year in the stroller and infant carrier in the other), or I can relcine the seat and put the Graco carrier in the stroller and off we go.
I have seen them in stores for $150 new http://shop.maclarenbaby.com/Products/B2C_US/Buggies/WOX0...

Have you considered a wagon, if the handle is not long enough for you add a rope. Wagons come now in plastic and little benches with belts, plus they are very practical for prades and parks, zoos, beach ect.. where a stroller normally would truly be a pain.
