Do any of you know of an oil or cream that has helped you with stretch marks? I had my second a few months ago and I wanted to eliminate those nasty stretch marks as much as possible.

My mother-in-law's mom told her to use cocoa butter, she did & had 5 kids, no stretch marks. Mil didn't use it, stretch marks, I started but my husband complained of the smell so I stopped, my skin was a mess by the end of that pregnancy! I started using it with the second pregnancy and the old ones started to look better & better and I told my sweetie to get over it. Cocoa butter is cheap & really works! You can also use Vitamin E oil, you can get it cheaply at Trader Joe's. That works well to moisturize & heal skin.

Good luck & congrats on your baby!

M.,
During my first pregancy I was sooooooo afraid that I was going to get huge and have stretch marks, like my mother, she has them horrible. So I put lotion on my stomach three times a day, religiously! I had not got one stretch mark until 2 weeks before I delivered! I thought I had beat it, silly me! It's in your genes, if your mother got them, you will more than likely get them, and it does not matter what you put on! When I was pregant with my youngest, (2 yo) I was much more relaxed and comfortable with the body changes! I am a small framed lady, I weigh 105 now, so I figured my baby's needed the space, there was no where else for them to go! I am looking forward to getting a tummy tuck, in about 5 years! Go with the flow and don't let it bother you!

You could try Mederma. It is good on reguarr scars, I would think it would work well on stretch marks as well.

I bought Avon's strech mark lotion, it's great! Apply twice daily and smells nice. You can order it at www.youravon.com/dshea and use FSANY for free shipping. And it has a money back guarantee if you don't like it they will refund your money no questions asked even if you used the whole tube.
