I would suggest Black Soap. I used it before I even thought of children and now that I have one.(Got them growing up) It doesn't prevent them but it helps them fade quicker then anything I've ever used.
Hope it works for you!

I was delighted when I got no stretch marks during my pregnancy, so much for that! Now that I've lost my baby weight I have these very unsightly marks on my abdomen. I've been using the Palmer's Cocoa butter for stretch marks lotion but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm thinking about buying the Mustela lotion but its a bit pricey and I was wondering if anyone has used it, or has any other suggestions. Thanks!

I'm a Body Shop At Home Consultant and would like to tell you about a great product that we offer that I've heard good results about. It is Body Focus Stretch Mark Improver with pumpkin seed oil to help smooth stretched skin and restore suppleness. It also contains Communnity Trade shea butter.
I can ship it right to your door if you'd like to try it.

I've heard that vitamin E oil works well, but haven't tried it myself.
Sorry to dissapoint you but as people have said, they do not fade. I asked my dermatologist about Maderma and she said that that stuff is a waste of money. They do fade over time and the lotion does keep you soft.... Good luck!
Honestly, nothing really works. The stretch marks will fade in time.
Hang in there because eventually they do fade somewhat. I had my daughter nearly 8 months ago and the marks are much less noticeable. You just had your son recently, so the marks are fresh. Give it time. I don't think the stretch marks go away completely (if they do someone please tell me how...ha ha) but they do become a lot lighter. In fact, I think mine have greatly diminished and I had them on my tummy, breasts and a little on my hips.
I would keep using the lotion though...it can't hurt and makes your skin soft and moisturized.
Congrats on your new son!
They same thing happened to me! I didn't use anything b/c from what I've heard non of the creams work any way. The marks do fade over time though, my son is now 20 months and I can't see them any more. Just be paitent.
I'd say just keep doing what you're doing. I've never used any of the special lotions - just the plain cocoa butter lotions you find at the drug store.
My biggest advice is to be patient. It's only been a month since you had your baby and it may take a while to get where you want to be. My daughter is 6 months old and although I lost most of the weight in the first month or so, I can still see changes taking place. They say 9 months on, 9 months off is the general rule. It may take a while for your skin to go back to the way it was, even if you did loose the weight fast.
I work for a company that have a wonderful skin conditioning oil that works great on stretch marks, plus it is botanical without a bunch of chemicals. It is a small tube but very highly concentrated so you need very little. This oil is used on burned victims at UOM for scars and burns. It is not expensive.
If you are interested, email me at ____@____.com and I can tell you how to get the oil.
Good luck!
