what is the best thing u moms have used for stretch marks?
im 29 weeks along right now and since my belly started to get big iv been good aboout putting lotion on it (just regular jergans moisturizing lotion) and knock on wood i have absolutley no stretch marks on my stomach or sides what so ever (and im huge now so im hoping it stays that way) However i didnt think about my legs up until recently and it seems im too late with that.. i have horrible big red stretch marks all down the inside of my thighs going all the way down to my knees and smaller lighter ones on the outside of my thighs up by my butt. i was told by a few people to use cocoabutter but am i like too late for that being that they are so bad already?. My fiance also suggested i get the maderma they make now thats specificaly for stretch marks, but to me it seems like that is more for after pregnancy when youre losing the weight and the stretch marks are still there not while your continuing to get bigger, i was always under the impression maderma was to fade scars after the fact. Does anyone know any miracle cures lol? Im not really all that worried about the small lighter ones because they are up so high and not noticable, but the giant dark red ones down the inside of my thighs are so gross i can only pray that they will not be there forever or i will never wear shorts again

What can I do next?

Sorry to say it but if there was a miracle cream for stretch marks then NO ONE would have them. It's just genetics, like everything else. Coco Butter does nothing. For some people they DO fade in time, but not for everyone.
Sorry :(
But on the upside, sexy summer sundresses are way more fun than boring old shorts, right?

I'm sorry to say, stretch marks are forever. There is no miracle. They usually fade with time, but they will always be there, unless you were to actually get the skin cut off. (Like when people get a tummy tuck. Generally, the stretch marks are cut out when the skin is removed.)

All apart of being a new mommy <3 Even if you do come out with some in the end it will all be worth it! congrats!

There are no miracle cures. If you have them, they are not going to go away, no matter what cream you try. You're either genetically predisposed to get them, or not.
And for your tummy, I hate to mention it, but I didn't *think* I had any until I had the baby. Once my belly deflated, there they were! They just weren't red.

I've gone through a full tummy tuck at this point, and I still have them. They were so deep that even the surgeon could not get rid of them all.

Sorry hon. Welcome to motherhood!

Just lube up everynight before you go to bed, when u get out of shower..i would go to babycenter.com.. check out some creams.. It has been awhile but, the jergans works.. any cream is good..
Also do prenatal yoga that lengthens you. check it out.
you can rent a dvd or take a class. Walk a lot.. you will be fine..
I would just concentrate on feeling good and don't stress.
Your going to be beautiful no matter what. Your going to have a healthy baby. Also major part of scars going away breast feeding.. hey don't get me wrong i have them but not a lot..

Lotion helps with the itching of stretching skin but sadly, it doesn't prevent stretch marks. You will get them or not...it largely depends on how elastic your skin is and lotion does not make your skin elastic. My mom didn't get any stretch marks but I did so it's not inherited either. It also depends on how much weight you gain...I gained a lot of weight with each of my 4 pregnancies so I got stretch marks. My sister gained very little weight but she only got a mark or two. Use the lotion to help with the itching but don't look for a magical preventative cure. They don't exist. The upside is that some stretch marks will fade over time becoming less noticeable over time. Stretch marks comes with being pregnant. Try to embrace the fact that your body was designed to hold a baby instead of focusing on whether or not your body will be forever "ruined" by stretch marks. There are women who would give anything and sacrifice anything, including vanity, to have a baby at all.

I haven't used Maderma, but I've heard it does really help fade scars/stretch marks. Stretch marks ARE scarring in a way! I always used The Body Shop's Body Butters. I swear they are miraculous! I was overweight when I got pregnant with both of my boys, and I gained way too much weight with both pregnancies and was HUGE, but I used that stuff religiously, and I only have some slight, short stretch marks on my very lower abdominal area. The women on both sides of my family DO get them too, so I don't think I'm one of the "lucky" ones who genetically just doesn't seem to have an issue with them. Try it -it's wonderful stuff!

Get out there and buy organic rose hip oil. Read about it first on the net. It is supposed to prevent stretch marks and even repair old ones.
I started using it on my face after amazing reviews world over and my skin looks so much smoother , younger and wrinkle free!!

please read up on it and then make your own decision!
There are alot of different brands out there but make sure it 's organic for baby and because the oil is fresh.

Best wishes

It's never too late to oil your skin up. I always did it right out of the shower while my skin was still moist.
I was fortunate in that the only stretch mark I got after two kids was a small one above a previous abdominal incision from when my left ovary was removed. My mother and sister both got stretch marks with their pregnancies though. My daughter has none from her pregnancy with my grandson.
I think you'll either get them or you won't.
But, one thing I do know, is that they do fade over time. The stretch marks my sister got with my nephew are barely visable at all.

One can get stretch marks from gaining or losing weight for any reason, so the best thing is to just keep your skin well drenched. Cocoa butter, Vaseline, baby or mineral oil, vitamin E. Just apply every day.

Best wishes.

My Ob/Gyn created Beaute de Maman. I used her nipple cream for those first few weeks of nursing, and have heard amazing things about her stretch mark cream. Worth a try.

Olive oil, but you have to use it before you get stretch marks. Once you have them, you have them.

Just keep taking care of your skin by lots of lotion and stay hydrated. If you stay moisturized then you may prevent some of the marks from getting worse or help keep more from forming. I am surprised that my skin didn't rott off my tummy with the way it looks now. *sigh* too bad we have to exchange our beautiful young skin for ugly marks!
